1966 Ford Mustang Additional Info:
I have a ton of time and cash into this beautiful Mustang. I found it sitting in a barn, under a car cover. It hasn't been registered since the 90's.and even then it hadn't been driven. I have gone through it this summer and have replaced all rubber hoses in the engine bay or brake system. The shoes, hardware, wheel cylinders are all new and the drums turned.4 wheel manual drum system, The underside is perfectly clean.original steel brake lines have no rust even. I believe the car came from a very dry area, Arizona type of clean, anyway. The 289 under the hood has had some work done, sounds very smooth now.I converted the distributer to an H.E.I. 1 wire system to get rid of the out dated points system, replaced the plugs and accel plug wires, Headers with flowmasters, Edelbrock 289 performer intake with a carter 625 carb, New high performance fuel pump, spectra hose kit installed, new heater hoses, radiator hoses, rubber fuel lines, inline filter, original gas tank and lines have been all flushed and cleaned out, all new fluids in transmission and rear axle, cooling system, and engine, new 180 degree thermostat, new starter, rebuilt alternator, new lower control arms, and ball joints.I have also 18 inch A.R.E Rims that have been properly off set by longer lugs with one inch spacers to get maximum tire under the car the rims and tires have no driving miles besides test and tune runs up and down the street.I have also rebuild the shifter but besides that I left the interior how I found it because it was so clean, It has Black buckets with console, no tears in the front or rear seats, the carpet is clean and nice, all interior panels are real nice except for the headliner is missing, the rear dash cardboard has seen better days and someone vynal painted the dash and the paint is cracking in spots..paint is cracking not the dash pad it self, all looks pretty original and nice. The outside is real nice, I replaced the rear taillight bezels and reverse lights with chrome surrounds, front directionals with chrome.I'm sure there is more..the car is awesome, everyone that has seen it has fallen in love with it. The car is not 100% finished, But all the major work is done and anything needed is all small easy work, Great for the person who knows that a car is never truly finished and likes to tinker here and there or on the weekends and add on little things.it is a smooth runner, driver, and a great looker. Not professional but local car show quality 100% for sure. I am pretty sure all panels are original rust free with a smooth paint job and factory scoops hood and quarter. Now I do have to mention, because it sat so long in a barn it did get bumped into at the very back of the passanger rear wheel, and messed the paint up a little back there, and there are 2 little bubbles in the drivers wheel arch..they are hardly even noticeable but I am as honest as they come.I want the new owner to know everything and get no surprises.I have a video for YouTube I am trying to set up..when it is up I will update the add....... I don't know why some pictures are upside down. ..I am trying to fix this issue..
