1978 Ford F-150 Additional Info:

I bought this truck with the intent of fixing it up but personal health reasons have changed my plans and just trying to get my money back out of it. It is a 302 auto with air, ps/pb. The engine is tired, looks like it has valve seal issues leading to fouling the plugs but it runs. The carb needs rebuilt but I drove it 60 miles home. If you are going a distance you my want to bring a dolly or trailer. Transmission works great. If you have access to a cheap 302 you'd be in business. I think the a/c will work if it is converted to r134. It's an add-on air and everything operates. That's about what I know about it as it has been at a storage facility and I haven't spent much time with it so I invite you to come look and decide for yourself before purchase. The body is fairly straight, it some work over the rear fenders at some time ago, the paint is faded and peeling in spots. The underside looks good for the age, cab mounts are good but has a couple of spots on the floorboard, see pictures. The truck had been undercoated and you can see where it is peeling. It will need a battery as I want my trolling battery back, lol. These trucks are getting harder to find in decent condition. Update: I tried to start the truck yesterday after sitting for a couple of months and I think the fuel pump is out, it was week before- fires right up with a squirt of gas but none getting to the carb so I would bring a tow dolly or trailer.
