1929 Model A ford Coupe, ngine number A1774281*. Solid body. Original color was Duchess Blue. Color can be seen in trunk and interior.Had a Model A club member tell me these were the best front fenders he had ever seen. No cracks. He was impressed with the solidness of the body. Unknown Mileage. I wouldn't consider this a barn find but more of a survivor considering how easy it was to get it operational again. I don't know the details but I would say that it was probably used up until a few years ago. I think the oil tells the story. The oil looked really good on the dip stick. I drained about 4 1/2 qts out with no problem (it didn't gloop out like it was 20 year old oil) and I added 4 3/4 qts to get to the full mark on the stick.
Car runs and drives. Ignition, rakes, lutch, ranny, teering all work. Fuel tank is clean as I am using it along with new sediment jar and fuel lines to the carb. Tolliston carb, ebuilt. Have issues with carb but I am not a Model A expert so I am still tuning. Cooling system is all there. Apparently the water pump is from a Baldwin combine and I was told it was a very good pump. The radiator has a crack just under the upper water neck. No nests or critter debris inside cooling system.
Electrical wiring will need replacement but the starting/ignition circuit works. New 6 volt optima battery. Still 6v pos ground set up.
The red seats are from a Cesna airplane and they just happen to fit so I used them. They will be included in sale. I have the original seat springs and wooden frames. I have kept anything that I removed or replaced. Like the Distributor cap and wires. They are new but I have the bat wing cap and metal strips.
There are a few rust areas. behind seats(see pic). Couple places under car that I will add pics very soon. Was told rear bumper mount to rear crossmember is a problem for cracks. This one has no damage.
I blasted the wheels andsprayed them inwhite primer. 2 new tires and 2 tires were in OK condition so I reused. New tubes all around.
I have some extra parts that I have not installed.
Brakes-Fronts were cleaned and adjusted. Wheel bearings repacked. Everything was in good condition. I just cleaned brakes and didn't replace any parts. I didn't pull rear drums so I just adjusted the rear brakes. They work fine.
I have some parts on order and will continue to replace parts but will not take it apart to the point that it is not a roller. I don't have major parts to replace, ust smaller parts, asy repairs.
I had to put something on for title so I put salvage but it has no title. I can provide any type of bill of sale you think you might need.
