This neat little Ford has a lot of unique features, aking it the antidote to the "me too" cars you see at every cruise night. It's a rare 1931 Sport Coupe, eaning that cloth roof doesn't fold, nd it's been fitted with rather unusual wood bodywork that gives it a wonderfully warm personality. Add in a warmed-over flathead, orgeous paint, nd a traditional build ethos, nd you get the coolest A rod we've seen in years. How much of the car is original? Hard to say. But we will go on record saying that we love the look. The front fenders and cowl are original steel pieces, lthough it's been fitted with a '32 Ford grille shell to clean things up a bit. We're guessing that the structure of the body is Ford as well, ecause the cloth roof that was unique to the Sport Coupe body style sure looks authentic. The rest of the body, ncluding the doors and fully functioning rumble seat, ppears to be completely constructed from maple, sh, nd mahogany, nd it's just beautifully done. It may not be accurate or authentic, ut we guarantee that it'll draw a crowd everywhere it goes. The cool root beer colored paint looks fantastic, ffering an old-school vibe with modern tech that makes it change colors a bit as you walk around the car. Details like the original running boards, owl lights, nd even the taillights out back keep the Model A flavor completely intact. There's even a luggage rack to make it practical! The interior has been beautifully trimmed in brown vinyl that looks a lot like what Henry Ford was installing in 1931. On the other hand, o 1931 Ford ever had a tilt steering column or A/C, ever mind all the sound deadening materials that went into this one. A full set of Ford gauges in a billet panel sit in the center of the dash and the A/C components were neatly integrated. Full carpets help control noise and heat and the Lokar shifter for the 700R4 4-speed automatic overdrive transmission looks enough like an original piece to fit right in. There's enough room for normal-sized people to feel comfortable inside and it offers roll-up windows for a modicum of weather protection when you're cruising. The rumble seat is also fully functional, ood for kids or adults on short trips, nd we like seeing it instead of the ubiquitous trunk. This car stands out mechanically as well, sing a traditional Ford flathead V8 instead of the usual Chevy small block. Built for performance and looking like a million bucks, he open engine bay shows off the strong-running flattie with its Offenhauser heads and triple carburetors up top. There's a big radiator up front and they've cured the usual flathead fever, o it doesn't get cranky even with the A/C turned all the way up. Lovely polished headers feed a custom dual exhaust system that delivers that unique flathead sound, o nobody will mistake this for a garden-variety build. The front suspension is an A-arm setup with coil-overs and rack-and-pinion steering, o it's smooth and precise, hile a Ford 9-inch hangs on a 4-link setup. The frame is painted to match the bodywork, s are the custom wire wheels, hich wear staggered 205/75/14 front and 285/70/15 rear wide whitewall radials. You know we love this car. It gets everything right and wraps it in a one-of-a-kind body that will definitely stand out in a very crowded field. Call today!
