1964 Ford E-Series Van Additional Info:
Crazy Cool Custom 1964 Ford E100 Truck known as Spectrta-1 back in the day. Tons of custom mods, as won many shows and been in a couple magazines is what i've heard from a few guys. Ford 283 engine, ires up, uns good but doesn't idle, eeds tune up. Amazing original condition but does need some work, ust rebuilt carb, leaned out fuel tank, uto trans rebuilt and painted, ver size Ford rear end, ustom interior in great shape for the age. It's all there just needs some love.
I was able to track down the original builder, e lives in L.A. Really cool guy, e told me about the build etc.
The truck has a custom shell that makes it look like a van. It has Hydraulic rams that lift the entire shell about 12" in the air, o when you hanging out, ts like a canopy in the up position. It also make's it easy to remove the shell. The top also is removable and so is the interior, o you can use it as a truck if you want. It has a old school TV and a custom velvet red sofa with cup holders, ed deep shag carpet etc, ustom split Gull Wing style door, op half goes up, ower one folds down and acts as a step with custom lighting in the foot steps.
Really too much to list, ustom Grill with headlight covers, ustom visor, ustom molded Flares and side rockers, ustom door handles, ustom tail lights, tc
All glass is in excellent shape.
Interior cab window section behind driver lifts up into rear area, wo sunroofs, ne in cab and one in rear area (both need some restoration, ables etc). This thing was ahead of its time, riginally built in the 70's. It has a light bar under the dash that would change color as the music played. Beautiful custom metal console that has cupholders that fold down, t also houses the switches for interior lights etc and features a photo of the van etched in the center. Orig gauges plus some aftermarket gauges, hrome trim parts, ustom door pulls, rig custom steering wheel.
Its all there! Killer project to finish.
I would really like to see someone bring it back, ts apiece ofhistory.
There is a crack on the uni body underneath from the originalowner doing wheelies(lol).
He said he drove it for 15 years the way it is. I had a couple good metal guys look at it and both quoted me $350 to build a custom u shaped brace and to make it perfect.
Crager SS's in rear and orig Rockets in front, ires in good shape.
Hate to sell but I've started construction on my house and have no room.
Let me know if you have any questions.
