Beautifully restored and fitted with Kelsey-Hayes wire wheels, ower brakes, oth tops and more! Factory Raven Black over Black & White interior!
The final year of the “Baby Bird” came about in 1957, nd with it the most refined attributes. Styling of late-1950’s cars had reached a peak and nearly all manufacturers were sporting fins, rt deco design, nd enough chrome to sink a ship! This would be the last year of the famous 2-seater roadster for the next 45 years! They are highly prized in collections around the world for the stunning good looks! Production rose in the last year to 21,380 before the larger square bird replaced it in 1958!
We are very excited to offer this 1957 Ford Thunderbird! The car is finished in factory correct A – Raven Black over XA – Black & White interior upholstery! Under the hood is the original D Code 312ci 4bbl V8 and Ford-O-Matic automatic transmission, ending 245hp to the ground with ease! Options include Swift Sure power brakes, ptional hardtop and gorgeous Kelsey-Hayes wire wheels wrapped in more modern radial whitewall rubber!
We purchased the car from a fellow Missourian who commissioned the restoration several years ago. Upon completion of the frame-up job including paint, hrome and interior, he car was only used sporadically on the nicest days. As such, t will show only minor wear from occasional use. The suspension, rakes and steering were also gone through to ensure that old or worn bushings, ines and hoses saw replacement. Today, he car starts, uns and stops in a very civilized fashion and is ready for immediate enjoyment at shows or backroads alike. We would invite any interested parties to call with additional questions! Thanks for looking!
