1938 Ford Cab Over Engine (COE) Additional Info:

Another Deputy Dee Auction. Deputy Dee says “Bid high, id often and bid to win”.

1938 Ford Cab Over Engine (COE) Truck with lots of parts included. 134 Wheel base. Clear title in my name.

Some of the parts are New Old Stock, some New Old Replacement Stock, some are New Reproductio, nd some are Used. The Truck and most of the parts have been in storage for a number of years.

With all of the parts that are included I believe (but do not guarantee) that the truck is nearly complete. It definitely needs to be restored. As you can see in the photos there will be some body work; especially the fenders, nd the doors will need to be re-hung so they fit better. I have not worked on it so I have no knowledge as to the mechanical condition other than I was able to turn the engine over with a crank. It could be rolled before the tire gave out. I have tried to show in the photos as much of the truck as I could cram into the photo space allowed by eBay. If you want additional photos please let me know the specifics and I’ll do my best to send them to you thru the eBay system.

It says 1939 on the door (Photo 2) but it is really a 1938 based on the VIN number and the fact it still has the cable brakes.

The running boards are in very good condition with minimal wear (Photo 8).

The hood has a piece cut out on one side of the back.- should be an easy repair. (photo 9)

The hood emblem is good but has some dings on one edge (Photo 10)

There is some rust along the lower part of the cab at the rear corners (Photo 11)

Engine (Photo 12) Engine is free

Radiator - New Old stock in original shipping box (Photo13) The Shroud is used.

Photo 14: The cowl wire harness (P/N14401) is New Old Stock – all the other parts are used. I do not have the wire harnesses for the head lights or brake/tail lights.

Water pumps – Double sheave for trucks (Photo 15) - Could be NOS but probably re-manufactured.

New reproduction parts included (Photo 16) these are Bob Drake reproduction – except the oil filler cap.

Six new tires, ubes and flaps are included (7.00x20) All new but have been in storage for several years (Photos17, 8).

A set of used head lights are included as well as a six blade fan (Photo 19) All used.

Photo 20: One used window regulator and a glove box door, horn light switch rod and the hood oval stainless trim - all used. Two new old replacement regulators.

Windshield wiper motors (Photo 21) Used.

Photo 22: Radiator filler pipes, ub caps, oor latch mechanisms, ear view mirror arm all used. New old stock U-Joints – one for the front and one for the middle of the drive shaft (P/N 51-7088 & 51-7090) and a new gear shift lever.

Photo 23: A new old replacement stock muffler, bin of new wheel lug bolts and nuts, nd, n oil bath air cleaner.

Photo 24: NOS Water pipes, eproduction hood side emblems, bin of miscellaneous parts, nd some loose miscellaneous parts.

The driver (mannequin - top half) in photo 1 is included.

If the bid goes above $7500 I will include a very rare COE temperature gauge sending unit (P/N 91W10883)

Deputy Dee says “Bid high, id often and bid to win”.

I can store the truck and parts for up to 45 days if it is paid for in full at which time it must be picked up.

Please carefully view the photos as they are part of the description. Sold as is where is with no warranty express or implied as to the condition, r suitability for the buyer's intended use. - be sure this is what you want and the condition is acceptable before bidding. Questions gladly answered.
