The rest of the babble belowis just informationabout the cars history and may answer some of your questionsincase you are really interested in this car.
I will let the pictures speak for themselves. The car just received it's first washingsince being stored away 30+ years ago so the cardoes need to bewaxed and detailed. It is a very good driver quality solid car, I am not selling it as a show car there are a couple of minor door dings and such, not really noticeable unless you look close for them.If you have the time to focus on it youshould be able to have this car back on the road in a week or two without spending any big money other then on a new set of tires of your choiceand a new H-Pipe between the exhaust manifolds and exhaust pipes $125 on eBay.
This car has always been a SoCal car until I shipped it back to my2nd home here in NW Ohio,it has never been on the road anywhere but in Southern California. A mechanic friend of mine was going to put it back in service for me to enjoy while I spendtime here looking after my elderly parents, unfortunately heunexpectedly passed away and Ihave since lost interest due to that fact, plusI myself amalmost 60 nowand have physical limitations for being able to work on it now daysKeep in mindI don't have to sell the car but would like to give someone the chanceto ownthisBoss302that would appreciate it for what it is and be able andhappy enjoyingit.
I purchased this car in 1983 and I'm the third owner of this car and have known it since it was new as it was always in the neighborhood I grew up in,in Glendora California until after I purchased it. The new owner will get the 2 previous owners names, current addressesand phone numbers with the purchase of the car, they are both in their 60's and late 70's but still in SoCal.
It has been stored away formost of thattime I have owned it. The motor was gone through in 1984by Horse Power Trading in Monrovia California and is .030 over, it has only about 700 miles on it sincerebuilding and was only used after that to go to local carshows in SoCal during 1984-1986. The Radiator and gas tank were drained before going into it's long term storage so there is not a issue of old gas and rust in the tank. The Rockers were loosened at the time of storage to prevent any spring damage while stored so they will need to be tightened and readjusted before you start it up the first time.
The car is a original W-Code Drag Pack optioned car. It is missing the Original Oil Cooler, Carb and Rev Limiterbut those are not hard to find and they are just bolt on items if you actually decide to make it a trailer queen and put them back on the car over. I am not selling it as a perfect originalBoss! It is all originalFord sheet metal and has not been wrecked and is rust freeas is typical of Southern California cars. The car has not been waxed or detailed in anyway so the paint in the pictures is not real shinny looking but should clean up within reason for local car shows, it is not going to win any concourse events but is all Boss302 and asolid car that is very enjoyable to drive and have fun withit before you may choose to do a restoration. Personally I had no plans to do any type of cosmetic restorationon it because I would rather enjoy itfor what it is and the wayLarry Shinoda would have wanted it!I was told that the motor was replaced by the dealer when the car was new, apparently there was a cylinder problem of some sortfrom what the original owner telling me. The replacementblockhas no Vin numbers stamped in it. ***I am not selling it as a numbers matching car that is so important to some of you out there and not to many others that just want a genuine piece of Fords Muscle Car history. It is what it is, I am only selling it as a original Boss302 that someone can afford and enjoy as it is with the potential to be able to restore it in the future if they desire.
The interior is all original and is in good condition, the carpet has some fade but the seats, headliner, door panelsand dash pad are in very good condition. Itcomes with5-Magnum 500 wheels. No promises butI believeI mayalso I have a space saver spare for it but I will have to look to make sure.
If you are looking for a solid original car that you don't have to put a lot of money into to enjoy this is it. You can buy a basket case that needs all kinds of rust orwreck repairs for less that is missing most of the original parts, butjust think of the time and money you will bespending to just make it ready for the paint shop. This one can be enjoyed as is with a little TLC to get it running again!
If you don't have the money don't waste my time like the last person that said he would buy it. This is a one time offering. I don't need to sell it so don't come back to me with low ball offers, I have until recently never even thought about selling this car since I have known it since it was new! The 2 previous owners and I all lived within 5 minutes walk of each otherin the same housing development in Glendora California and are still friends.
Shipping or pick up is the responsibility of the winning bidder.I am more then willing to work with your shipping company to ship out of state or the country!
Keep in mind that this car is almost a 50 year old car that has been stored for 30+ of those yearsand is sold as is with no warranty or guarantees.A $500 non-refundable deposit is required within 48 hours.
Thank you for looking!
