1981 Fiat 124 Spider (convertible) VIN 124CSO - 00169754
67K Miles. Rare automatic and factory air
Fuel injected.
The single most rust free early 124 I have ever seen. The car has four very small dings that need to be addressed prior to repaint. The car’s clear coat is absolutely shot. If one were to feather out the clear coat and re-spray with a one stage paint you what have a fantastic looking 124.
Here is a partial list of work done and new parts: (All brand new parts:)
Top
Boot
Both mufflers and joining tail pipes
Rear transmission mount
Complete drive line (front rubber drive doughnut, both U-joints and center pillow block bearing)
Power brake booster
All new cloth covered flexible brake lines
New cooling system thermo switch
New front burp housing
New windshield wiper blades
Like new tires
New parts included that you can install:
New CD / AM / FM system
New brake caliper rebuild kits
New inner and outer tie rod end joints
Replacement left tail light lens (has a crack but better than the one on the car)
New brake pads for all around
New outer window wipe seal
New timing belt
New air filter.
The car has a brand new mobil one oil and filter change.
Fresh flush and new anti-freeze.
The car starts, runs, and shifts great!
A few small dings – no major dents.
All chrome is in truly fantastic shape – I have never seen chrome like this on a 36 year old non restored car.
The body is as solid as can be. The doors close with a very resounding thud – tight and solid as can be. There is not one bit of rust through. Being a very low car and the prior owner living in the mountains there are some frame rail dings but no rust. Everything is as solid as can be.
The windshield is cracked but out of drivers view.
This car instantly starts, idles as smooth as can be, runs very smoothly, lots of acceleration, transmission shifts very cleanly, brakes are great. In short, that car is a blast to drive with the top down. You would be a coat of paint away from a very, very nice classic Fiat Spider 124.
This car is also for sale locally so the auction may be stopped at anytime.
