1966 Fiat 1500 5 speed Convertible.Well maintained great running driving Fiat.Note White walls were mounted for an event and are not part of the sale.Engine, original 1966, seals replaced front and back, valve cover gasket replaced. Engine is original unrestored, strong burns no oil.Mounts, motor and transmission mounts replaced as well as the center hanger on the driveshaft.Fuel, tank restored, fuel line replaced, newer fuel pump, carb rebuilt.Ignition system, distributor and coil replaced with NOS in 2020, wires plugs also replaced.Electrical, harness is in perfect condition, all electrical components work. generator rebuilt in 2020.Transmission, seals replaced front and back. 5 Speed shifts perfectly.Clutch, plate, disc and fork replaced 2020, flywheel resurfaced as well.Rear, seals replaced, outer bearings replaced.brakes, front disc, rear drum, power assisted, 2020 replacement, pads, cylinders, booster rebuilt, calipers rebuilt, master replaced, rubber and steel lines replaced.Exhaust, complete system replaced, proper fittings hangers and retainers used.Interior, carpets replaced with correct German loop 2 tone gray, seat covers replaced in 2020. Door panels recovered in 2020.Steering, tie rods replaced in 2020.Tires need to be replaced as they are showing a little dry rot, 145 R 14 Pirelli available from UKBody, no steel repairs ever, solid body car, paint was retouched in 2019 and again in 2023, a few imperfections show, easy to fix. Touch up paint left over comes with the car.Spares, jack and tire and tools in the trunk, fuses in glove box.This car came to us from Arkansas in 2017, it finally made its way into my shop in 2019 where we went through the car with intensions of getting her back on the road. We were delighted to find this car was always cared for and just needed a good going through. these cars are absolutely one of Pinan Farina's better designs and what makes it ideal is how simple the car is mechanically. Very easy to maintain, parts galore are available here in the states as well as abroad. Comfort, seats 2 people with tons of leg room, comfy seats, space behind the seats for a picnic basket and goodies, trunk space enough to get away for the weekend. Gas mileage was figured at 38 miles to a gallon. I drove this car many miles never an issue, always fun top up or down, drive anywhere, stop at the gas station for 7-8 gallons and laugh until you need more next month.
