1982 Fiat 124 Spider Additional Info:
Fiat 124 Spider . This is a fuel injected model that can be used as a daily driver. Since I've owned the car I've updated lots of parts. My main objective was to get it fully reliable. The looks were good enough that I mainly focused on the mechanical and electrical aspects of the vehicle. The cars mileage is correct. At one point in it's life, it was totally stripped down and repainted. The paint Is still in great shape with only a couple of areas where a rust bubble or two have popped up. The interior could use some TLC. The top was replaced and the back window is clear, but it doesn't have some wear. As stated, I focused on the mechanicals mostly. I totally went through the fuel injection. Finally after replacing all rubber fuel lines it is running better then it's ever run. No matter how cold, just turn the key and it cranks up runs the way it should. No worries like with a carbureted model. It is very zippy and quick. The transmission was replace and a new radiator put in. All electrical have been gone through and deoxidized. When I bought this I wanted a solid rust free car. This one is. It also doesn't have the problems associated with some of these cars. The front main engine support frame is solid. I'll go through some of the things replaced in the past 4 years: New starter, windshield wipers, replaced ignition switch and installed the brown wire fix(read about this. it really helped), rear view mirror, headlight rim, fuel filler hose, all new rubber fuel lines, filler cap, new wiring harness for the dash gauges, new fuel tank, bumperless front light kit, set of A arms, Center link, new bushings for anti sway bar, new tie rods, new performance spring set front and rear, new sway bars, front wheel bearings, new front breaks and break lines, new front end alignment, new tires, new shocks front and rear, spark plugs and wires, oxygen sensor, oil filter, trunk jack, break rotors, brake pads, motor mounts, fuel pump and filter, water pump, starter motor, hazard signal switch, timing belt, distributor motor, electonic ignition pick up, and more. Have paperwork and receipt for the work done. Have the owners manual and service manual. When I bought the car I drove it home 18 hours straight. No problems. With all the work I've done to this car I would feel confident to drive this across the country. Call me for more on the history of the car and anything else you'd like to know. I can send more pics and a video of the car running. I'll entertain reasonable offers. I'm not trying to get the money back that I put into this car. Part of the fun for me is doing the restoration and driving it. There's still work to be done on the interior, but you can drive and enjoy it now. If you fly in I'll pick you up at the airport so you can drive it home. I'll also help if someone wants to ship it
