Here's a cool convertible that most people will think is an illusion. This highly original 1980 Fiat 2000 Spider has traveled less than 26,500 miles in its lifetime. Yep, hard to believe but it's true. This is a loved Fiat that can be yours for a value price. This is like a mini Ferrari. After all, the Pininfarina design house is known for exotics, and this car is included in that illustrious history. And the rich red paint... that was applied in Italy four decades ago still has a deep luster today. The reason why it can survive in this quality condition is good care and being treated as a special machine - averaging less than 700 miles annually. The twin-bulge hood lines up beautifully; the doors close with confidence; and the tan top fits snugly. This has true European elegance. The Fiat 124 series already had a vintage pedigree in the '80s, so sliding behind the wheel in this time capsule really feels like riding through the Italian Alps in the '60s. The interior is original, and low mileage with great respect once again deliver a terrific-looking package. In true Italian style, the wood finish on the dash, center console, and gearshift perfectly complements the smooth tan leather on the seats. That's the proper Ferraro three-spoke sports steering wheel, and beyond that, the Veglia instruments show crisp markings with elegant simplicity. The back seat is only for occasional use, but it does give a nice place to set the optional boot cover. This one is thoroughly original, right down to the AM/FM radio, map light, and clock - all working. And the heat/defrost blows hot enough to keep the top down well into the fall. The 2.0-liter fuel-injected motor is this car's factory original equipment. The dual overhead camshaft makes it one of those wonderful motors on which the Italians have built their passionate reputation. It has a low-end power surge that just begs to be revved, and you're rewarded for your aggression by a sweet exhaust note. There is the right amount of originality and proper maintenance to keep this looking fresh and running strong. But, it wasn't just the engine that made these Fiat Spiders great. These are tight handling cars with well-balanced suspensions that love backroads. They even kept up with some of the most modern features by coming with a five-speed manual transmission and four-wheel disc brakes. Complete with owner's manual, this is a terrific low-mileage classic. Of course, we won't blame you if the mileage average goes up significantly in the first few weeks of ownership. These Spiders are irresistible, so hurry up and get this uniquely untouched example before someone else grabs this deal. Call today!!!
