1971 Fiat 124 Sport Spider Additional Info:
This is a truly excellent '71 Fiat Spider for sale. This is an original, survivor car with under 43k miles (I listed it as "43,000" but it's actually a bit less at the moment...but may be more by the time it's sold). You simply do not find these cars this nice, with no rust, no impending service needed, etc any more....or, at least you don't find these often!
This has the original 1608cc twin cam engine, 5 speed, 4 wheel disc brakes, etc....with a few nice tasteful touches such as Koni shocks, Cromadora magnesium CD-3 wheels, Abarth exhaust (installed as NOS about 6 years ago, barely used), new 95 amp (Auto Ricambi) alternator, new Weber 32/36 carburetor and better-performing/desirable 1974 style single plane intake manifold. The paint is the original, correct color in correct single stage, but it is a repaint. The car does have a few nicks here & there, but it looks as good in person as always-flattering Internet photos make cars look!
The interior is tan and the seats and door panels are somewhat faded though show no flaws or wear. The top is excellent as is the tan tonneau cover for it.
This is not the typical sub-$2K Fiat wonder-car that will end up costing you upwards of $15K to get about 3/4 as nice as this car is. I am a long-time Fiat enthusiast who bought this about 10 years ago with the intent of keeping it forever, but plans have changed somewhat and I could use the space perhaps more than I do use the car. It has a clean TN title with no issues. I am the third owner, the second owner having had the car from the time it was about a year old.
Please contact me if you have questions or would like to discuss an offer. I do have interior photos, undercarriage photos, engine bay photos, etc. that I will add. This would be a smart entry into the joy of classic Fiat ownership and with the new Fiat Spider coming into the market, this would also be a smart time to snatch one of the classic ones!
NOTE: if you are located in the metro DC area, I may be able to provide transport (not free, but reasonably), so if that may be an option, please contact me.
