1983 PININFARINA AZZURA SPIDER - 46,000 ORIGINAL MILES - A/C - 5-SPEED - NEW HARTZ STAYFAST CANVAS TOP - REUPHOLSTERED CARPET AND SEATS - PROFESSIONALLY INSTALLED
I purchased this car last year as I had been wanting a low mile Pininfarina Azzura and was looking at doing a light restoration to have as a nice original condition car. The previous owner was only selling due to a divorce; he had put a lot of time and money into the car and had done the following items in the last 500 miles
- New Clutch - Rebuilt Front end and Suspension - Brakes and Rotors - Battery and Tires
He pulled the motor so that the engine bay could be cleaned up at the same time which of course made it easier to build the front suspension too.
With the mechanicals all taken care of it really just needed a interior refresh. I purchased the best convertible top - Hartz StayFast Canvas and had it professionally installed. I also purchased a carpet kit and seat upholstery kit from Vic's Auto in Austin TX which is an excellent resource for Fiat parts. I had these pieces also professionally installed.
I am pretty sure the car wears its original paint as all the original decals etc are clean; it has the original jack and tool kit as well as keys and owners manual. The power windows work, lights, blinkers, automatic trunk release and all gauges.
The A/C is hooked up, the fan blows but not cold, it will need a recharge. I live by the beach so I have no need for A/C but it will be nice for those of you that do need it as it is rather rare to find.
I have the CARFAX that verifies the low 46,000 miles on this car. It is priced well below what these usually sell for with this low of miles. I am selling because as it was in the shop; I came across a very rare classic car that I had to have and the funds from this Spider will help fund its restoration.
Feel free to inspect the car or send a private inspection firm. It runs well; but has not been driven much at all so it needs to be driven. I have not registered the car in California as I was going to after the work was done. It will come with a North Carolina Title that is clean. If needed I would be happy to provide a California title in my name; it will just take 10-14 days for me to get from DMV.
This is a great little car; not too many around. Contact me with any questions.
