The first production car to be powered by a flat 12 engine, the 365 GT4 Berlinetta Boxer is a truly historic Ferrari. Built to replace the phenomenal 365 Daytona, the GT4 was many other firsts for Ferrari. The first rear-engined road car built by Ferrari (aside from the Dino), the first of the Berlinetta Boxers and the fastest production vehicle in the world when it was unveiled. This particular example was built in June of 1974, and was Classiche Certified at Wide World Ferrari in August of 2014. Originally painted in silver, the car was repainted to Rosso Corsa with the correct Nero satin finish paint on the lower half of the car. Outside, the car shows very nicely with all of the correct lights and accents. Sitting on the correct wheels, which were refinished by Ferrari before the car was on display at the Greenwich Concours D’Elegance, the car is an award winner and has taken part in some of the most prestigious events. Inside, the interior was refinished in July of 2010, and has exceptional looking Nero Daytona seats, Blaupunkt stereo headunit, and original looking touches all around. In the rear sits the period-correct 4.4L boxer 12 cylinder engine, which was rated by Ferrari for 380hp from the factory. The F1 derived engine started the Berlinetta Boxer name, and is one that was carried on through the years at Ferrari.
