1970 Ferrari 365 GT 2+2 V12 5 spd Coupe Additional Info:

West Coast Classics are proud to present a 1970 Ferrari 365 GT 2+2 V12 5spd Coupe in the beautiful and highly desirable color combination of original factory 'Giallo Fly Yellow' exterior paint with its all original Black leather seats interior with only 64K original miles and with reportedly only two southern California owners since new and 1 of only 809 365GT 2+2 models built between 1967-71!
Boasting only 64K original miles, the car, starts, runs and drives, but after having been in long time storage since 2002 it must be noted that the car will certainly require some mechanical attention with the car having been recently inspected and serviced at 64,083 miles at the renown Ferrari independent specialists 'KB Motorsports' of San Marcos, CA who reported that there had been signs of a coolant issue in the oil which would require a partial engine disassembly / head removal / to confirm or correct whether there is a head gasket or cylinder sleeve O-ring failure issue after having been sitting for so long, or whether the engine had maybe overheated prior to 2002, although at that time it was noted that the oil had no signs of coolant present anymore. It should also be noted that the rear air shocks have a slow leak. KB Motorsports installed 4 new Pirelli Cinturato Lucas Classic tires, new ignition switch, window switch, battery, oil change, new spark plugs, carb kit etc and considered the car to be drivable and indeed sellable, although it should be noted that it was further noted that there is some backfiring through the front carburetor that may be related to an internal intake valve sealing issue and that as stated there is most likely a head gasket or internal mechanical issue present . Service records available.
The 1967-71 Ferrari 365GT 2+2 was almost all of Ferrari's then current GT ideas wrapped up into one package and a replacement for the 330GT 2+2. It carried the firms typical multi tubular chassis design but with new all independent suspension. The engine was the big displacement V12 mated to a front mounted gearbox and 275GTB type rigid driveline. It had the distinction of being Ferrari's largest car to date with long classically refined styling by Pininfarina. It topped 150mph despite its fairly hefty weight and size.
This particular example should be considered a very nice and honest southern California example with an all original interior and no signs of any body damage or accidents but that as described will certainly be requiring mechanical attention in due course.
