1988 Ferrari 328 Additional Info:
This is an extremely clean, well cared for 1988 328 GTS in a very rare color combination of Black over Ivory interior. The car is being sold from my collection where it primary sits in a climate controlled room so its stored properly. I have service records dating back to 1999 and a recent full service including belts, timing belt, seals, thermostat, water pump rebuild, fuel filter, replace some burned out bulbs in the instrument cluster, AC charge, all fluids and several other minor fixes to make the car perfect. That service was just performed in March 2016 at Continental Ferrari in Hinsdale, IL and a copy of the receipt totaling $14,984.00 is shown in the listing. The car runs perfect and needs nothing. The transmission shifts perfectly, even when cold. It comes complete with the manuals, service records, tool kit, spare, two sets of keys, built in (period correct) K40 radar detector, new set of $400.00 Ferrari logo floor mats, and the hard bound classiche certification that will be arriving from the factory in the next couple weeks. The certification is not easy to get and crucial if you are a collector and you want to verify a cars history and originality.
The car has most power options including the antenna, windows and mirrors. The car does not have any of the issues that can be common in these cars. No dash shrinkage, no sticky buttons, etc. Everything works including the clock. The leather on the seats is perfect and shows no sign of wear, even on the bolsters. If I was going to be very critical of the car, I would say it has some minor stone chips on the front bumper and bonnet (nothing out of the ordinary and about what you would expect on a 16K mile car. I didn't want to have it painted because the chips are minor and I prefer cars to be original and without paintwork. I bought the car with a clean carfax (pictured in the listing) and it has not had any paintwork since I have owned it so I believe it to be accident free and all original paint.
Also, there is a small hole in the upholstery behind the drivers seat that you can see in the photo of the gas cap. I have been told its relatively easy to fix. The targa top is stored and in perfect condition including the head liner. There is a very minor dent in the top right between the rear spoiler and the targa opening but its so minor, its hard to see and I couldn't get it to photograph. It also should be easy to fix by a paintless dent repair specialist. The tires are in excellent condition and the rims are all in very good condition with no curb rash or damage. I am limited to 24 photos on Ebay and cannot figure out how to add more so, if you want more photos or info on the car, please email me and I will do my best to accommodate you. Winning bidder to arrange your own shipping and must send a non-refundable deposit via Paypal within 48 after the auction. The balance is due within a week via wire transfer, cash or cashiers check. Thanks.
