1987 Ferrari Testarossa -- Additional Info:
1987 Ferrari Testarossa, this car has been owned by the previous owner for the last, 16 1/2 years. This is a two onwer car with an great trail of paper work and hostry for the work ever competed on the car. The car is really complete with owner's manuals, window stickers, all keys and books, and an amazing service histroy that are all documented and in complete order. This is the most intense Ferrari with service histroy we have had the opportnuity to have for sale. The car runs and drives PERFECTLY. The car has 28,200 miles. The previous owner purchased it in April 2001 with 13,000 miles. Along with this beautiful Testarossa this car has been serviced more than most would think of having there cars serviced, We have alone recent $41,500.00 in receipts for things that have been done to the car since purchase. The car has been fastidiously maintained by Competizione & Sports Cars in Gaithersburg, Maryland. During previous ownership, he had two engine-out major services (with a new clutch done during the first, not because it needed it but because it was recommended, while the engine out). The most recent major service ($12,625.36) was done less than 2000 miles ago. In order to get the car ready for sale, the previous owner had it in to Competizione 3 months ago for a fluid flush, oil change, and general going-over, at a cost of $3000.00 -- car has been driven about 40 miles since then. In addition to the major services, regular oil and fluid changes, a/c servicing, etc., here is a partial list of things that the previous owner had done over the years: Brake Pads 4 Wheel Alignment Coils Starter Clutch Master Cylinder Heater Control Valve Tires Spark Plugs, C.V. Joint Assemblies Brake Calipers Shift Rod Motor Mount Boot Kits and Clamps Exhaust Header Throttle Plate Adjustment Ignition Coil/Module Coil Wire C.V. Boots Sealing Rings O-rings ANSA Exhaust Test Pipes with stainless steel tips (original cats are included) Chrome Wheels Side Rockers and Front Spoiler Painted Matching Red 3M Clear Protectant Film on Spoiler and Partially Up Front hood, as well as side mirrors Brake Cylinder Wheel Bearings and Seals A/C Belt Tires Battery. The amount of money and care that went into this car goes on and on and on. Literally whatever the car has needed, it has gotten, without fail. Other items also being replacedare the fuse box and replaced the red ignition wires, again prophylactically. He even had the engine repainted during its last major service! A few things changed from stock are chrome cavallino. The black plastic ball shifter was replaced with a billet aluminum Momo King shifter, stcok stereo replaced with a Alpine Multimedia stereo system, with iPod hook-up in the glove compartment, with a 10-CD changer. The chrome wheels were rpelaced from stock. The red painted rockers and spoiler was painted for a "fatter," more modern look. The windows go up and down as they should. The a/c blows cold as it should. The car runs and drives perfectly. Car comes with a California Car Cover as well. When the car is not ebing used, the previous owner kept the front boot released and the battery turned off. This car has been driven from D.C. to Montreal for the Canadian F-1 several times. It is by no means a garage queen, and has all of the tiny stone chips in the spoiler that one would expect from a car that is actually enjoyed. The paint looks great -- and let the pictures tell the story. With the recent market trends for TRs, including Hagarty's actual market sales data. This is a true, honest car, without stories, and has served the previous owner well for 16 1/2 years (a third of his life!). As you can see in one of the pictures, the dash is doing its typical pulling away from the windshield. In as much as it has never bothered me, I have not bothered to do anything about it. Books, records, and tool kits are included, as well as some nice carpeted floor mats with red prancing horses and "Ferrari" embossed on them. Given the maintenance and service history, and seems very reasonable compared to other listings for cars with a lot more miles.....Any questions, requests for the service records, or pics of different angles, BJ Motors has an extensive range of superb, low mile exotic and luxury automobiles.
