1985 Ferrari 308GTSi Quatrovalvole, the final year of production of this classic. Designed by Leonardo Fioravante, built by Ferrari and made famous by Tom Selleck in Magnum P.I.
This car is a well maintained example of this beautiful design. Usage over the past 32 years has averaged about 1775 miles per year, just about the perfect amount to keep a properly maintained car in excellent running and driving order. Ferraris are made to be driven! Z rated Tires have less than 4,000 miles on them and spare is brand new. Books, partial tool kit, jack and complete service history is included.
Car is finished in Rosso Corsa with a tan leather interior. The paint is original and in good shape, with the some imperfections you would expect in a 32 year old car with 59,100 miles. The interior leather and carpeting have been restored to a very high standard. The car runs really well and is a joy to drive. Excellent response can be felt throughout the power range. The transmission works flawlessly even when cold. The car was just serviced, oil and filter were changed, shift shaft bushing and seals were replaced and fuel injection plenum was powder coated. The car had its last timing belt service at 55,657 miles (3443 miles ago). All factory pollution controls are intact. There are no leaks.
In addition to the 24 pictures accompanying this ad, I have another 45 photos I will be happy to send you upon request. Any paint imperfections are highlighted in the photos.
This is a chance for a 308 fan to acquire a very sound example of the most desirable, 4 valve edition of this timelessly designed Ferrari. The 308 has appreciated rapidly in the last few years (check Hagerty valuations) and experts agree it will likely continue to appreciate over the next several years. The 1985 GTSi, Quatrovalvole, the final and best iteration, along with the early carbureted models have led the appreciation curve.
· All lights and accessories work
· Air conditioner blows pretty cold by 308 standards
· Fuse box has been upgraded
· Fuel distribution pump and all injectors recently replaced or reconditioned
