We bought this bus about 3 years ago and have had an absolute blast with it. As you can see from the pictures we enjoyed using it at events, bbq cookoff competitions, and my personal favorite, camping trips to the lake. And yes, it pulls the boat without a problem.
We bought the bus here on eBay from a touring musical group out of Florida. My brother and I flew into Florida, and drove it all the way home to San Antonio, Texas with no problems. We had general service performed on the bus by the Krause Brothers here in San Antonio. They have been working on these things for years, they were the personal mechanics for George Strait and all of his buses he has had throughout the years. These guys are good. They were impressed with everything they saw and just did simple fluids and said we were good to go. The bus runs and drives great!
We currently have it registered as a private bus in Texas and there is no need for a CDL, so that is awesome. I keep it plugged in at my shop to keep the batteries charged and it fires right up every time. Believe it has a 110 gallon fuel tank and surprisingly gets much better fuel mileage than you would think. The A/C and heating system work great! We live in South Texas and in the middle of summer during camping trips it would freeze us out. The interior of this bus is MUCH nicer than any other classic Eagle I have seen. Whoever did the conversion spent the money to do it right and it shows. Would not hesitate to get in the bus tomorrow and drive it anywhere in the country.
We have since bought a house at a lake near San Antonio and simply just don't use it as much as we used to. Want to sell it and put the funds towards lake fun. May be willing to trade for House Boat or Pontoon Boat along with cash, all depends on what you have. I don't have to pay storage as I keep it at my shop. I am not in a rush to sell it so low ball offers will not be considered. Very unique bus! Trust me, you will not find another classic this clean. Look around, you'll be back.
