1968 Dodge Charger Additional Info:
1968 Dodge Charger R/T, 440, Hemi 4-speed, Dana 60 (3.54). When I got the car 10 years ago I had to fix a head gasket, so I just installed Edelbrock heads, manifold, ceramic headers & new carb. The short block runs fine. It is not the original block, but is a 68 block. The car has had one repaint in the early 80s. It is very thin in a lot of areas and down to the metal, I just keep it clean & polished. It did have some rust repair (spray foam) done at that time. Still looks OK, but there will be a bit of rust repair needed. The trunk floor was covered over with sheet metal and riveted. The windshield is original and uncracked. The vinyl top is original & very nice still. The door panels and upper pads are still very nice. The dash pad is cracked. Carpet is very nice-not sure if its original (probably not). The Dana 60 with 354 gears works excellent. The Hemi 4-speed I pulled out because it was popping out of 2nd on decell. (I still have it and it goes with the car). I rebuilt another Hemi 4-speed and it works excellent. The lower controll arm bushings are bad and was wiping out my tires. So it does need some front end work and tires. The body is very straight. It is a factory Buff Silver paint car (the only color that was an extra cost). Very cool looking color combo. The seats need recover. Someone spliced some seat pieces from a wrecking yard car onto the original seats to repair some splits (crazy !) Some of the instrument cluster does not work. If you have ever been looking for a Charger, you wont find a better unrestored one. Very fast & scary. Can get out of control very easily. If you have any questions or need more pictures please ask. I am in Utah (Woods Cross), Right next to Salt Lake City. I am listing this locally and reserve the right to end the auction early. Thanks, Cory
