1940 Dodge Power Wagon wc1 Additional Info:

as my friend Richard would say " git ya some of this" .Up for auction is a 1940 Dodge WC1. Dodge started manufacturing the army weapons carrier in fall of 1940. This WC1 has the good, the bad and the ugly."the good" truck has a dynamite patina, all truck needs is a clear coat. motor runs well and starts with no problem. No smoke or funny noises. Has an added winch (these trucks did not come with winches). truck has been converted to 12 volt truck has added power steering. "the bad" most rust seems to be surface. truck needs a complete brake job,only way to stop truck is with emergency brake. needs rewiring and who knows what else "the ugly"truck has 2 dents in passenger side roof. truck at one time had light on roof as there is a half inch hole in roo, also hole on passenger side of cab that seems to be an antenna hole. wood slats and metal strips are still in bed floor but probably should be replaced. gas tank in bed is one being used. orig gas tank still in truck but is dented and probably leaks.the truck starts and is derivable out in the field but by no stretch of the imagination is it road worthy. This truck would make a good restoration project. Restore as much as you want or as little as you want. would make a good amateur resto project. probably needs everything gone thru and checked. most parts are available thru Vintage Power Wagon. Truck is being sold as is where is no warranties stated or implied. As my old Latin teacher said (caveat emptor) or buyer beware One thousand dollars due at end of auction. balance due within 1 week..
