1935 Dodge Truck/Pickup, 1932-1933-1934
This old truck was a very interesting find. Bringing these old trucks back from the dead and finding a good home for them is a hobby of mine, and sometimes the people and the stories are just as good as the old trucks, that is the case with this one. Although I know I can't make anyone do thi, I am hoping to sell this to someone who will stay in touch with an occasional picture of the truck so I can send it on to the original owners who are wonderful people, and would love to see this going up and down the road again. Here is the background on this 1935 Dodge as I know it.
This truck started its life as a school bus in a small western Kansas town. The cab has no alterations, holes, etc - it was simply a box mounted on the back, with a seat lengthwise on each side, the children would set facing each other. The farmer and his wife that I purchased this from both took turns as school bus driver. When it came time to retire the truck from school bus duty, they purchased it and turned it into a farm truck, and it had been on the farm ever since.
I think the pictures give a pretty good idea of the overall condition. I have found absolutely no rust in the cab or elsewhere with the exception of where mice built a nest by the windshield wiper controls. The cab is actually very straight and solid. The fenders have been "farmerized" a little. It has a ford running boardon driver side. You can tell that this truck was hidden for many years, because the original hood ornament is still there, and in very nice shape. I have two more wheels, and they go with the truck.
I was told this truck was running when it was parked, so after I cleaned it up a bit, I decided to seeif itwould run, I cleaned upthe points, put a battery in, and it cranked over. When I would pour gas in the carb, it would hit a couple of times and then pop through the carb. It wouldn't quite run on its own, but does turn over and try to run.
As you can see in the pictures, this does come with a clear Kansas title. I have equipment to load or help load, free of charge. Truck does roll but only a couple of the tires hold air. Please note that I have 100% positive feedback, so you can bid with confidence, and please ask any questions you might have prior to bidding. This truck is selling with no reserve. My name is Cort, and I can be reached at 620-786-5172. Thank you and good luck!
