For hardcore collectors, uthenticity matters, nd if originality and a great pedigree are important to you, his 1970 Dodge Challenger convertible deserves a closer look. It's a one-owner original car with just 33,552 actual miles, fantastic color combination, nd a great-running 340 cubic inch V8. If you like them untouched, his one should really get you excited. You may as well get a high-impact color on your Mopar muscle, ecause that's one of their most defining features. This one wears its original FY1 Top Banana Yellow, hich is shockingly well preserved. Thanks to an owner who has always cherished the car and treated it as something of value, he paint looks incredible. Sure, here are a few minor signs of age and maybe a touch-up here and there, ut the overall presentation is exactly what you want from a top-grade survivor. Chrysler got the look exactly right with their A-body siblings and the Challenger ideally embodies the long hood/short deck profile that just screams high performance. Most Challengers in 1970 were like this, o spoilers or blacked-out hoods, aking it refreshing in its honesty, lthough there are a set of '340 Magnum' emblems on the twin nostril hood and a black bumble bee stripe on the tail. As a result, 'm afraid you're just not going to be able to keep a low profile with this car. The front and rear bumpers are in excellent shape and so is the tinted windshield, nd it's all original. The black interior is also completely original and in good shape. The seat covers and carpets are showing their age, ith a few splits in the driver's chair, ut the door panels, onsole, nd dash pad are really quite nice. Simulated wood covers the console and instrument panel and looks quite convincing on the steering wheel, nd for a convertible, t's pretty impressive that nothing is significantly faded or cracked. All the gauges are fully operational and have bright, risp markings that belie their age. The original AM radio is still in the dash, nd yes, t works! Overhead, he original black top uses the Chrysler exclusive long-grain vinyl that's almost impossible to replicate today, nd remarkably, t has no splits or tears and the glass rear window is in great shape. The trunk is also neatly finished with the original mat and what appears to be the original space-saver spare tire with jack and inflator bottle. Cool! Not a big block screamer, ut I think you'll be impressed by the way the original, umbers-matching 340 cubic inch V8 runs. As a low-mileage car, t has obviously never been opened up and the factory Hemi Orange paint still looks fantastic. Aside from a little fading and a few greasy parts, t's shockingly clean, vidence of decades of careful maintenance by a fastidious owner. It starts easily, dles well, nd believe it or not, hose are even the original hoses! Talk about authenticity! Power steering makes it easy to handle and the TorqueFlite 3-speed automatic transmission powers an 8.75-inch rear end, hich is showcased by a spotless undercarriage that's never seen snowy weather. Factory Rallye wheels wear 245/60/15 Goodyear radials that are likely only the second set of tires this car has ever worn.Fully documented with the original invoice, itle documentation, nd owner's manual, his is an incredibly well-preserved original car, he kind you'll never have the chance to own again. If you love original, ntouched cars, his one is a slam dunk. Call today!
