This first generation, 1992 D-250 Dodge Ram Cummins Turbo Diesel truck is a wonderful running truck. We are the original owners and love the power of this truck and its dependability. We have never been disappointed with how it runs, and it always starts on the first try.
The truck has very low original miles, and gets great gas mileage. We never wait until there are problems: we bring the truck back into the dealership that sold it to us, every 3,000-5,000 miles, to have any scheduled maintenance completed, and have receipts to show it. Everything mechanical gets fixed if needed. Anyone who wants to test drive this truck or purchase, is welcome to review these receipts when they come to pick the truck up. Of course, you are welcome to arrange to have a local mechanic come to inspect the truck at your expense as well.
When not in use the truck has always been kept clean and garaged. The truck has been owned by a elderly couple... and has not been abused in any way. The truck has been in the same coastal town since it was bought. The truck is perfect "as is" if you want a reliable, sound work and towing truck. The coveted cummins engine is known to go for many, many miles with no issues, and some tell us that it is just now broke in.:)
The Michelin Radial tires are in great shape, wearing evenly and have a lot of wear left. The rims are original and shiny. The rear passenger side rim is dented in some places as pictured. There is some oxidation in areas; surface scratches, and paint peeling on the back of the truck and on the sides as you will notice on the pictures. Mechanically, everything is sound. The back bumper is slightly tilted, but I would imagine this could be realigned easily if this bothers you... it isn't super obvious, so I have not asked to have it fixed for myself. The paint, metal and trim is really nice on the majority of the truck, but there are some imperfections due to age and use as expected. The radio and cassette player are present, but do not always work. I use it for the digital clock. The buyer will most likely want to replace or repair this item after purchase. As far as I am aware, this is the "only" part that does not work properly on this truck.
Please note that you are bidding on a very nice truck, but not a perfect new truck. I am making every effort to disclose all imperfections that I am aware of myself, so please review the pictures carefully before you bid and contact me if you need clarification. If any of these things I am mentioning bothers you, please do not bid on this item, as the truck is being sold "as is." There are no warranties. We encourage you to inspect the vehicle prior to bidding to make sure you are satisfied, as everyone will have a different interpretation of what is acceptable aesthetically. If you want perfection, the truck would need to be painted.
We have never had any issues with the engine, transmission, radiator or any major big ticket items. We have always been told that our truck is a very good, solid vehicle by mechanics.
Interior of cab:
The interior is all original and looks new, and has very little noticeable signs of wear. The seats are still as firm as they were when new. The carpet has little to no stains or fading that I can see. Rubber mats look new and are included(not pictured). I took them off, so you would be able to see the condition of the carpet. The upholstery is not faded or matted down, it is soft and looks aesthetically pleasing. The dash is not faded or cracked. There are a few minor scuffs by the drivers side on the plastic that you will be able to see in the pictures. The headliner will need replacement at some point, but is okay right now. There are some minimal flaws, but the overall look is amazing. The glass on the windows have no cracks. This truck has never been smoked in, and has no displeasing odors. The air conditioner blows cold, and heater works great!
In addition, we had an electronic brake control installed to work with our trailer. You will find the box for this under the steering column in the pictures provided.
Truck bed:
The bed is a standard 8' bed. It has a very nice bed liner that is in good condition, and has always been covered and protected by a custom rubber mat liner (not pictured), that is also in excellent shape. Again, this was removed so that you would be able to see the condition of the bed liner underneath.
The truck has a custom painted mirage shell over the bed. It can be locked and a key will be provided. It is in very good condition, with only slight imperfections on the paint in some areas. The windows of the shell are tinted and have windows that can slide open with screens. The shell was bought at the same time as the truck.
The windows from the cab to the back of the truck line up perfectly, and can be opened if needed for access to the bed. There is a custom made boot that will be provided (not pictured) that can seal the junction and weatherproof this area if you choose to use it.

-90,000 service check completed 8/2015
-replaced steering gear, pitman and idler arm, upper and lower ball joints and outer tie rods 9/2015
-Wheel alignment 10/2015
We have the original owners manual, registration and pink slip in hand.
Overall, this is a great running truck that has been well maintained mechanically. The only reason we are selling it is because we do not need it anymore. It would be a shame to let this beauty sit for months without any use. We originally bought the truck to pull our 24' camp trailer which we will be selling soon as well. If anyone is interested, this trailer goes very well with the truck (paint matches nicely with similar colors), and will be listed in the near future.
