1959 dodge half ton shortbox fleetside pickup, ne of the rarer dodge trucks
This truck was built to enjoy -and drives down the road very wel, it has a brand new small block Mopar, quipped with a hot ignition, ild street ca, ported and polished cylinder heads as well as being bored .030 over. It makes 350 horsepower estimated, ll of the components are brand new and properly broken in by a reputable machine shop. It is backed by a 727 automatic transmission and a Ford 8.8 rear axle, t comes with a positraction diff. the truck has independent front suspension and disc brakes out of a 70s Mopar,all brakes are new many steering components are new, as air shocks in the rear and new shocks on the front. the wheels and tires are brand new as well. the body was lifted from the frame and lined, t has very minor rust in the floorboard approximately the size of a dime it has been treated and painted.
This truck was painted last in the late sixties or early seventies and shows excellent patina, t is all natural.
The interior is equipped with a modern CD player and modern speaker, it has a tilt power steering column as well as a B&M shifter.
It starts and runs flawlessly and drives down the road very well for what it is, o be perfect it needs minor front end work such as ball joints and possibly tie rod ends,as well as a windshield wiper motor or switch, or some reason the wipers quit working last summer and we're not sure why. It does have a painless wiring harness with modern fuses that were professionally installed by a reputable mechanic
This truck garners a lot of attention going down the road, t is very fun to drive and shows very well. It can be classified as a patina rod, it has characte, is a little bit rough around the edges and is anything but shiny, ut it is so enjoyable . buy it for a fraction of what it cost to build
