Driven into a barn in 1985 and in 2016 the car still runs and drives. A true "numbers matching" 1968 Dodge Charger R/T 440 Automatic. A car like this is hard to find. The car features a 440RB HP motor, bbl carb, utomatic on the column, hich is rare for an R/T, actory Air Conditioning, pecial ordered dealer undercoating, nd a split front bench seat with a fold down pad in the middle, lso not seen in many R/T's. Not original to the car is the 4 bbl holley carburetor and the engine has exhaust headers, o the original manifolds are missing. The original 8 track/radio is also missing otherwise the car appears to be 99% complete.
The car does need some work on the sheet metal, ut because of the dealer undercoating the undercarriage has survived really well. Beneath the undercoating is the original red paint. There is some surface rust but does not have major rot on the bottom. There are a few soft spots on the passenger rear frame rail, nd passenger torsion box, he driver sides are solid. The lower quarters have been replaced once before in the cars lifetime but will probably need new lower quarters. This charger is solid around the rear back window and not victim to the typical rot many chargers suffered from in this area. The trunk lid, oors, ood, oglight bezel (with foglights intact), rille, umpers and windows are all in good condition. Also has plastic trim piece that would have went over the rear taillights in the trunk area. This is the only one I have ever seen. Again the car runs and drives, he transmission shifts correctly, he Tic-Toc-Tac works, nd the hideaway headlights are fully operational. Car has a clean title and is located in Weyauwega, isconsin. Immediate deposit of $500.00 is due within 24 hours after the winning bid. Remaining balance must be made and the car picked up within 14 days of the auction ending. The buyer is responsible for pickup.
Ask any and all questions you have. I have lots pictures and few videos of the car and am more than willing to take more if there is a specific area or part you want to see.
