The 1972 Dodge Swinger is a classic car with a sleek black interior and charcoal grey exterior. This automatic transmission coupe features a performance 383 engine, making it a desirable choice for collectors and enthusiasts. With its clean vehicle title, this Dodge Swinger is sure to turn heads and bring joy to its new owner. I built this car over the last 4 years. I have put a lot of time and money in but I'm ready to start my next project and need the room .The car is a 9/10 on the interior and a 9/10 on the exterior . The car runs and drives good, it could use a front end alignment I haven't gotten around to yet. The car has a 727 auto transmission and has a pretty aggressive shift kit that 1st gear shifts to 2nd gear at 35mph and 2nd to 3rd gear at 55mph. The trans or stall torque converter seems to have a little slip to it in my opinion but I'm not very familiar with big cams and stall converters . It will still spin the tires if you get down on it though, so maybe its me or may its the trans ? So cruising around in town you will be mostly in 2nd gear. The cars engine was originally a slant 6 but now it has a cammed big block 383 I purchased used. Even here in Mississippi in Aug./Sept. at 115 degree heat index sitting at a long 4 way traffic light the dual electric fans keep her cooled flawlessly ! I disassembled the engine to freshen up all the gaskets and do some upgrades. It was said to have around 25.000 miles on the engine and I have put a little over 10,000 miles . Immediately after removing the heads I could tell it wasnt to long being rebuilt,I could still see some cross hatching and the valves were very clean. It was obvious the heads were recently reworke, has double springs .The cam had the numbers 2041 wrote on the back and the raised numbers SGH 56 in the front near the distributor gears. After some googling and research I found it to be a Duration@ .050 " Lift; 224 deg. intake / 232 deg. exhaust Advertised duration @ 270 intake / 282 exhaust Valve lift .488" intake / .503" exhaust LSA 112 deg. It has solid lifters.Car sounds real good ! It has a new Holley 4150 carb. Edelbrock Torker intake manifold, new Comp cam timing chain, Mellings hi volume oil pump, 6qt.oil pan, aluminum hi flow water pump housing and hi flow water pump, oversized hi flow aluminum radiato, aluminum water pump pulley and crankshaft pulley, Mopar electronic distributor with orange bo, new power steering pump and lines, new Mopar 110amp 1 wire alternator and gear reduction starter.Has TTI shorty headers,x-pipe and 2 1/2 knock off moderate chambered mufflers.Has new fuel tank, sending unit and stainless straps. Paint inside and out is 3yr old .Has new fiberglass hood and new vinyl top, Body is straight. All new side marker light, cars stainless trim has been polished out real nice, new exterior door handles and new driver remote mirror. All exterior lights work as should. It has and imperfection in the paint by the driver door handle that camera barely picks up.The rear bumper around the bumper bolts the paint is swollen from tightening too soon on fresh paint but still looks good seen in the pics. The underside of car was wire wheele, then primed and undercoated. The cars entire brake system has been replace, has the small wheel 5x4 with 4 wheel 9'' drums, wheel cylinders, shoes, hardware, master cylinder, front wheel bearings and seals, stainless steel brake lines up front, regular to the rear end and brake hoses. The cars has new tires and entire front end steering and suspension has been rebuilt and painted, even the dreaded greasable pivot shafts and bushings. The cars interior is mostly new parts ..Headliner,sail panels, firewall insulation kit.sun visors,F/R door trim panel, window track rollers F/R, all inner and outer window felts F/R, all arm pads, all window cranks, door handles, all weather stripping new,Ignition, door and trunk locks, turn signal switch, F/R windshield seals, carpet, Equus gauges, dash pa, woodgrain kit, heater core and fan motor,The dome and trunk lamp work but keep blowing the fuse,I haven't looked into the problem. The car is still running the factory 7 1/4 rear end, The factory a/m radio doesn't work,..who needs it anyway !! Needs new horns but wires test hot and windshield washer components not there!! Was a factory a/c car but no internals in the dash are there.Milage is unknown .This will be my first vehicle sold on ebay and I have listed everything as honest as I can,If your looking for one of those factory correct cars this isn't for you,but if your into tinkering with older hot rods and a fun weekend cruiser or some car shows..This is a nice one !! I reserve the right to end listing anytime due to being sold locally as well.
