1976 Dodge B300 Van

This is a class B RV Tradesman B300 20 foot Camper Van project van not currently running.
The van was running, driving normally when I drove it to Oklahoma City from Austin to buy another vehicle, and then it was parked due to prolonged and urgent elder care out of town. When I finally was able to see if everything was ok, my mechanic determined that water was coming out of the thermostat housing as we put water in the radiator. It is very observable, a $30 part on ebay and accessible from under the hood. All the tires are holding air enough to roll up on a flatbed trailer with easy access. You can reasonably count on needing a new set of 16.5 tires if you get it back road worthy. I have all the records of the repairs I personally have had done over the many years I was driving it almost daily until I bought the other vehicle for the out of town family care. I don't recall any transmission problems. I think I am the second owner and the ad, which I still have, and owner I purchased from said it had a rebuilt engine at the time of purchase in 1995. I am not sure of the actual mileage as I had to replace the original gauge assembly to the tan one in the picture but I have the original green one.It has a High Top with stand up view out sliding windows for great screened cross breezes, and two roof fans that are standard size needingreplacing with your choice of modern 12 volt AC options or other fans. There is already a standard window 110 AC unit in the driver's side back door that can fit and needs replacement with a modern window unit or ready to fit a mini split. It has a spare tire carrier on the passenger side back door and a trailer hitch. The back doors open to a clear aisle to the front that could carry a small motorcycle, e-bike, 4x8 panels, 16' lumber and even a 14' Sunfish sailboat. You can haul cargo having carried a washing machine inside thru the side barn doors.
But this is a real RV with shore power set up for a 110 outlet, 12 volt lights, a water inlet to the kitchen faucet and a water holding tank under the couch. The large window over the kitchen area slides open with screens as does the window over the couch that makes into a wider bed. The area over the drivers seat has a very large storage space or can be extended on sturdy rails for another bed. The double stainless sink needs a re-frame with your desired counter and back splash. It also has a 4 burner propane gas stove/oven that has cooked a peach pie on the way to the party that probably needs replacing or changing to modern camping options like an induction cook top with multi-function microwave/air fry oven. It has a 3 way fridge with small freezer but it is unknown whether it works now. A hanging clothes closet on the passenger side in the back and a porta-potty has a privacy folding door and enough space that could be made into a small DIY shower room or outdoor shower out the back doors. It does not have a hot water heater. The location of the double sink right by the two side barn doors can make an easy outside shower area and has room to add a hot water heater....it's ready to make into your DIY camper van dream with room for all the new lithium battery technology and plenty of roof space for solar panels. But it has seen the beach a lot before it had to sit and wait so there are rust issues that I hope and think are not beyond bondo type repair. As mentioned it is not currently running, having sat for over a decade as elder out of town family care took priority. But it's all there, a 360 V8 with upgraded to R34 dash AC with all the maintenance records done while it was running. This is a very rare, hard to find Tradesman with that balanced look (lost in '78 onward) having the space between the front door and the side doors so the doors don't obstruct each other giving that extra space between the cab and main area. This rare open floor plan in an iconic classic van is ready to restore and put back on the road or set up in a permanent space for a classic TINY HOUSE or guest cottage. Clear Blue Texas Title.
