1989 Dodge Shadow SHELBY Additional Info:

1989 Shelby CSX-VNT #141. This car is a museum piece! If you are looking for one of the best original examples of these cars in existence, look no further!
I am the third owner of this car and have owned it since 2004. The car had 22,217 miles on it when I purchased it, and it was as flawless then as it is today with 23,683 miles.
The engine and drivetrain have always been completely stock and the car runs and drives beautifully. Other than oil changes, the only thing that I've had to do to the car in the last 20+ years is replace a faulty fuel pressure regulator (done in 2018), and install new lower bushings for the rear shocks (done in 2023). The car also received a new battery in 2023.
In order to keep this car in the pristine, original condition that it remains in (original spark plugs and wires, original brake pads, original shocks and struts, etc.), I've only driven the car about 50 miles a year since I've owned it. I take it out for an early Fall drive each year, and keep it under a cover with a battery tender on it the rest of the time.
In 2022, I refinished a set of dodge shadow es wheels in gold paint, and put 4 new tires on them. While the pictures show the car with the original fiberide wheels and original goodyear gt+4 tires, those are for show only, and the car will be delivered with the refinished wheels and new tires (shown in the last picture). The original fiberide wheels and gt+4 tires will be loaded into the hatch area of the car, and will be included with the sale.
The engine, body and interior are all in excellent condition, but while the car is an amazing survivor, it does have a a few minor flaws that I've tried to point out in the last few pics. There were two small dings on the opposite sides of the drivers rear wheel well when I bought the car. They are hardly noticeable, so I never tried to have them fixed. There is also a very small crack in the paint on the rear ground effect that appeared a few years ago. Other than that, the body is really clean for a 36 year old survivor!
Overall, this is an amazingly preserved example of an extremely rare Shelby vehicle from his 80s era of working with Chrysler!
