1955 Dodge Other Pickups Additional Info:

Putting up for auction my '55 Dodge C-3 pickup. Truck is rust-free having been an original AZ farm truck. I acquired it from the family of the farmer who was said to have had it some 30+ years. I have owned for a couple of years and made all the necessary adjustments to get it running as it should. It is CA titled, registered & insured in MY name.Equipped with the venerable Flathead 6 and 4 speed transmission, truck has great original patina. Body in original condition with scratches and some dents; no need to restore. Appears one repaint at some point in its' life in the original Dodge Banner Green.Truck has been upgraded to 12v, rebuilt motor (prior to my ownership), rebuilt cooling system (I sourced a new radiator from US Radiator in AL), new master cylinder, brakes & wheel cylinders. I had interior reupholstered in black including bench seat, door panels & visors. Rearend was rebuilt and appears to be from an early '70's Dodge truck (Dana?) giving it a wider stance. Transmission not original as well and may have been sourced from the same donor truck. Trans has a low granny as well but synchronized for ability to downshift from 3rd to 2nd without grinding the gears. (If you've ever owned a '50's truck you never had that luxury of shifting from 3rd to 2nd without first coming to a near dead stop). Truck cruises 60-65 nicely. Wheels & tires are 15" smoothies. Due to rearend swap the emergency brake was removed & discarded. The truckbed floor next to the gas tank could use some attention, but I simply left it alone.Dash upgraded to Autometer gauges; all function except for fuel gauge as fuel system converted to a 10ga aluminum spun fuel tank in truckbed with a gauge atop the tank. The gas neck & filler appear original with OEM parts but are non-functional. I also had the front bumper & grille bars rechromed for a cleaner look. Dash radio delete plate is a '56-'58 Buick plate that covers someone's attempt at installing a radio; there are speaker holes in doors that I covered with magnets. I also added a 1953 Dodge passenger vehicle optional clock on the dash. I had it rebuilt. It's shaped like a tach and says 'Mopar'. It's made by Jaegar company and a one year only option. It compliments the dash nicely. This is a truck you can enjoy driving as soon as you get it home. A good price for a rust-fee seldom seen Dodge with all that has been done to it. Paperwork matches the engine #, which was technically the vin # in 1955, hence it is the engine that came from the factory in this truck. Not until '57 did the vin appear on the body. Therefore this truck has a CLEAN pedigree. Truck is in my garage at my home in SF Bay Area. My name is Bill and you can reach out to me with questions at 650-642-7103. Please be prepared to pay a $500 deposit if you win the auction. Remaining funds to be paid by bank check, cash in person, or wire transfer. I'm easy to deal with and can assist as best as I can . Shipping is responsibility of purchaser. Inspections welcome. Let me know if you need additional photos of something.
