1966 Dodge D500 Grain Dump Truck318 V-8 engine4 speed manual transmission w/2 speed rear axle46,700 ORIGINAL Miles!!Up for sale is my 1966 Dodge D500 grain truck, in awesome ORIGINAL condition. The truck has only 46,700 ORIGINAL miles on it!! Has the original 318 V-8 engine, and 4 speed manual transmission with 2 speed differential. In fact, the Mopar 318 engine decal is still visible on the passenger side valve cover! The air cleaner still has it's original decal as well! ( see photos). The engine runs very well, and brakes are in working order. Emergency brake is functional, as well. The dump bed works perfectly... and raises as it should ( see photos). The bed of the truck is made entirely of OAK WOOD... and that wood is in PRISTINE condition! The radiator is the original Mopar unit that came on the truck in 1966... and doesn't leak a single drop of coolant!! Paint is mostly original, with some touch up done over the years. Wheels and bed frame were recently refinished in the EXACT factory colors... using the highest grade catalyzed automotive acrylic urethane paint. The front bumper and grille were likewise just refinished in the original Dodge white ( similar the Wimbledon white, using the highest quality automotive urethane paint. The bench seat still wears it's ORIGINAL upholstery... as seen in the photos! It's totally amazing that the upholstery survived nearly 60 years of usage! The original headliner is still in place too... with some small areas missing from 60 years of fabric aging. This truck could quite possibly be the nicest unrestored original 1966 Dodge D500 in the country. And before I forget something very, very important.....NO RUST in the floors or cab corners, either!!!Recent updates include:1. New NOS Standard distributor cap2. New Standard Blue Steak distributor rotor3. New AC Delco Pro GOLD spark plug wires4. New Champion (8) F10C Copper Plus spark plugs5. Oil and filter change ( 0 miles)6. New ignition lock cylinder with 2 new ignition keys7. New custom Professionally made negative and positive battery cables ( beefy 2-gauge solid copper)8. NEW NOS ( New Old Stock) NAPA 1/2" thick solid rubber mudflaps... made in USA. ($500.00!)9. Custom made 1/4" thick CNC machined John Deere front license plate.Other items of note: The passenger side exhaust manifold could use a new gasket.. as it has mostly deteriorated over the years.... so has a bit more engine exhaust noise on that side as would be expected.... not too bad... but something to be aware of.At some point in the truck's life ( probably decades ago), one of the doors had been replaced... and the replacement door has a later model OUTER door handle ( on passenger's side). The door is identical in color, and the INNER door handles and panels match EXACTLY to the original. ... so just a very small detail to be aware of.Overall, for an original 1966 Dodge D500, this truck is in amazing condition. The truck runs and drives as it should..... the dump bed works great..... the brakes are in functional condition, as is the emergency brake. Clutch and transmission are good... smooth shifting with no issues. Original bench seat upholstery in fantastic shape for it's age... one small split exists on the drivers side of the seat, as most are after nearly 60 years. Headliner is mostly intact, with a few missing patches. Dash is in fantastic shape, with original paint, and all the gauges work.... the fuel gauge, temperature gauge, Alt gauge, and oil pressure gauge are ALL functional. Also has the original mirrors on the truck!! And NO RUST in the floors or cab corners!! And finally, Clean clear Missouri title in my name. Please message me with any questions you may have questions... or would like me to take photos of areas of the truck not already shown. Thanks.. and good luck in making this truck your own! You may also TEXT me at 9I3 8O8 O42I if you'd like immediate answers to questions.
