1971 Dodge Challenger Additional Info:

Completely restored in and out. Fully documented Broadcast sheet and fender tag as well as all engine, trans and body "born with" vin# stampings. Rare 2 dr HT 340 4spd Hemi orange EV2 1 of 35 made in this configuration. Car was 98% rust free prior to fully stripped and repainted. Very detailed restoration.
Vehicle was recently finished with less than 180 miles since completion. The car was taken apart over 40 yrs ago and stayed in a dry garage until purchased 1 year ago. Floor pans (passenger compartment and trunk) are all excellent originals, sheet metal all original with the only rust repair on the very lower rear quarter panels. The car was factory undercoat optioned. Many detailed photos available before, during and after restoration just request the area interested and I will try to verify for you. Front disc brakes assys. were added in lieu of the original HD drum brake option, all new brake lines, master cylinder, and wheel cylinders. Hedman Ceramic shorty headers were installed due to performance robbing factory manifolds. During the engine rebuild an Isky hydraulic cam was added which was the equivalent of the 1968 Dodge Dart 340 manual performance cam specs. Front end components were all replaced with new ie. ball joints, tie rod ends control arm bushings and shock absorbers. Rear end is a 3:23 Sure Grip original to the car. New clutch assembly was installed. AM/FM audio solutions radio with USB and I Pod connections, 4 speakers was added to replace the AM radio. The factory side stripes are painted on to the same specs as OEM. Chrome replaced and stainless polished. All lights and options work as intended. These cars were dubbed "Insurance Dodgers" due to the non R/T vin and the extra Insurance premium charged at that time. Basically the same high Performance options with out the higher Ins. cost.
