1970 Dodge Charger 500 Additional Info:
1970 Dodge Charger 500 For Sale
- Originally from Birmingham, and originally a 383 with burnt orange. The engine was swapped with a 440 and transmission rebuilt several years ago. There is less than 2000 miles on the motor and transmission. Carburetor was cleaned, and a race intake was installed recently.
- Not a perfect car by any means, but this is a SOLID car and with a bit of work this can be a good fun driver and head turner. Car runs and drives great after a jump start (battery is dead), however car has been having some leaks as its been sitting idle for past 4 months.
- The fender tag is missing but I have the original build sheet. The VIN plate, door sticker, and radiator core support all match.
- Previous owner replaced the rear valance, rear valance corners, rear lower 1/4's and trunk floor pan and extensions. I've noticed some slight rust in the trunk, but otherwise appears solid elsewhere, I haven't seen bubbling or signs of rust in the common rust spots, e.g., side frame rails, cowls, quarter panels, etc. The rear lower 1/4s were butt welded and not seamed. All other sheet metal is original.
- Electrical work is required on the vehicle. I do know the the headlight needs the connector that plugs into the switch (needs new switch) but the headlight motor, doors and most bulbs work. Speedometer is working, but other gauges (amp, fuel, etc) are not operational. This would be resolved with completing the electrical wiring work (I am told this is the switch that needs replacing: https://www.classicindustries.com/product/mb2446.html)
- Brake work was recommended by my mechanic on the vehicle, though I was able to stop and go locally. Power steering and power breaks are available.
- AC is not hooked up, unsure if related to compressor.
- New magnum style wheels and tires. New windshield, gas tank and headliners. Could use some new driver door panels and back seat could use some new upholstery.
- Registered and located in NYC
- Do not need to sell and nonsense offers will be ignored. Message me here or call/text Dennis at 347.414.3694
