1978 Dodge Power Wagon Additional Info:

A TRUE SURVIVOR DODGE MACHO. 360 AUTOMATIC 4X4.
This truck is still wearing (what's left of) it's original paint. The top surfaces of the Maroon are really washed thin. The black isn't terrible but make no mistake, this truck would need to be restored if you want a show truck. It is a great survivor that shows well.
The engine and transmission are rebuilt as is the transfer case. It has brand new tires on it and a new Edelbrock 600.
The engine runs amazingly well with zero smoke or stumbling. The transmission shifts hard and sure with no leaks. The transfer case goes in and out of hi-lo like butter...very smooth. The brakes and steering perform as they should and in all, this truck drives very close to the way it did when it was new.
Everything works including wipers, lights, turn signals, heater and horn. All gauges work except for the fuel gauge. I am only running the rear tank at this time. No idea if the front tank and switch over would or are working.
It is a very nice driving vehicle that from 20 feet away people will think is restored. Since this is all original you could easily document the decals, paint patterns, locations, etc and duplicate it.
MOST EXCELLENT AND DRY DODGE TRUCK I'VE EVER SEEN OR OWNED. ZERO FLOOR RUST.. ZERO CAB RUST..ZERO BED RUST..ZERO FRONT APRON /FIRWALL/CORE SUPPORT RUST..ZERO DOOR RUST.
The only rust is on the very bottoms of each fender behind the wheel opening, which is very, very typical. There is a small spot on the left rear bedside at the front of the wheel opening that will likely need a very small metal patch once the truck is stripped.
It appears a tire separated on the left front and damaged the fender and left outer rocker but all is very repairable.
Bid with confidence that this is NOT a restored truck but a clean original that shows 45 years of wear. The driver's seat comes with it but is torn up pretty badly and will need recovered as all the seats will. For now I have a Van seat in it...
The radio is no working.

I JUST DISCOVERED THAT THE ENGINE AND TRANSMISSION ARE NOT ORIGINAL TO THE TRUCK AND THE NUMBERS DO NOT MATCH THE VIN TO THE TRUCK. I'M SORRY, I SHOULD HAVE CHECKED THAT EARLIER. THE TRANSMISSION HAS NO NUMBERS ON THE VIN PAD AND ENGINE HAS NUMBERS BUT THEY DO NOT MATCH THE TRUCK.
