1969 Dodge Charger Additional Info:

***NOTE 1: I just had a bad experience with a buyer of a different car who did not thoroughly read the description, did not understand car terminology, did not understand what is involved in handling and loading a vintage vehicle, and never asked a single question before spontaneously paying for the car in full. Then, got angry when he learned that the car would need to be winched onto a trailer (which was listed in the description), and was going to cost him more for shipping. This resulted in him leaving me negative feedback, loaded with lies.
***NOTE 2: PLEASE! - PLEASE! - PLEASE! READ THE DESCRIPTION AND INSPECT ALL PICTURES CAREFULLY!!! PLEASE ASK ANY AND ALL QUESTIONS PRIOR TO BIDDING!!! PLEASE REQUEST PICTURES OF ANYTHING YOU WOULD LIKE MORE DETAILS ON!!! PLEASE ASK FOR MY PHONE NUMBER IF YOU'D LIKE TO HAVE A DISCUSSION ABOUT THE CAR!!! PLEASE NOTE: MESSAGING THROUGH EBAY IS PREFERRED!!! PLEASE ARRANGE FOR AN IN-PERSIN INSPECTION, IF POSSIBLE!!! PLEASE! - PLEASE! - PLEASE! DO ALL OF THE ABOVE BEFORE BIDDING OR PURCHASING!!!
Up for your consideration is this solid example of the legendary 1969 Dodge Charger 2 door hardtop! We are selling due to the fact that we have moved out of state and no longer have the room for it. It is taking up some garage space and priorities have shifted.

A brief history: I bought this car from a couple that lived near Madison Wisconsin, around 2005. They had two vintage classic cars. His was a 1970 Chevy El Camino, her car was this Charger. His El Camino received all the attention and was restored first. It soaked up much of their funds, and with career setbacks and life events, they were forced to sell the Charger. At some point, this car lived in Oklahoma, according to the parking pass sticker on the windshield.
All about this Charger: VIN reads: XP - Dodge Charger (Premium) 29 - 2 Door Sports Hardtop H - 383 ci 4V V-8 330 HP 9 - Last digit of model year G - Assembly Plant Code (G - St. Louis) ****** - Sequence Number
Description:
This Charger is pretty much complete with the exception of some smaller items. It is an original big block car. THE FENDER TAG IS MISSING AND I HAVE NOT LOOKED FOR A BUILD SHEET.

Condition:The bad: The body does show signs of body filler. Sometime before the previous owners acquired the car, someone had attempted to repair the body and paint the car. I can see evidence of body filler in various areas throughout the car. Nothing significant, like critical areas or anything. I took pictures of these areas: lower area where the rocker panels meet the lower rear quarter panels (this may be factory filler, not real noticeable), small bubbles around both rear wheel wells and lower quarters behind the rear wheels. Both corners of rear valance where they meet the quarters are mudded. I did see a spot in top of one of the front fenders that has a small area of mud also. Front grill needs some attention, has some cracks/brakes. Headliner needs to be replaced. Door panels have speaker holes cut in them. Drivers side inner fender has some rust through behind battery tray. Trunk lid has holes drilled in it. It looks like someone had a spoiler mounted on it at one time. Front windshield has a crack in it. Back window has some silicone sealing the top of it. Master cylinder is BAD. Brake pedal goes to the floor. Trunk floor is bad. UNUSED 2piece trunk floor is INCLUDED.
The good: CLEAN TITLE IN MY NAME Undercarriage is solid with no rust. Frame rails - SOLID Spring shackle areas - SOLID Torsion bar mounting areas - SOLID All frame and unibody sections - SOLID Inner door openings - SOLID Doors - SOLID Previous owner installed some new suspension components under the front end. NEW, UNUSED 2 PIECE REPLACEMENT TRUNK FLOOR INCLUDED WITH SALE!!! Has some light surface rust.
This was a running and driving car when I purchased it 15 plus years ago. When I drove the car I noticed the carburetor was leaking and needed a rebuild, so I bought a rebuilt Edelbrock 4 barrel from a guy that sells rebuilt carbs at a swap meet. I installed it, and it also leaked. Upon inspection, the fuel filter housing in the carburetor body had stripped threads. To fix, I pullet the filter out and epoxied (J.B. Weld) the housing together and installed an in-line filter. I drove the car a few times and it drove fine. I do not know if engine & trans are numbers matching to the car. Assume that the car has over 100,000 miles.

Car will need to be trailered. It hasn't been driven since the few times I drove it years ago. It got parked in the back corner of my shop and was buried behind other projects of mine and my dads. Then life happened and it never got any attention. It since developed a few leaks. The master cylinder needs to be replaced, old gas cleaned out of gas tank, and the carburetor may need to be rebuilt. I am confident the car will run off a gas can.
Shipping:
THIS CAR WILL NEED TO BE WINCHED OUT OF MY GARAGE AND ONTO A SINGLE CAR TRAILER. This car has NO BRAKES due to a bad master cylinder. I live up on a ridge in east Tennessee, my driveway has an incline, and is two car lengths long. The road is narrow and inclined also.Buyer needs to get shipping for an INNOPORABLE vehicle, so the shipping company does not try to show up with a 9 or 10 car carrier.
** Buyer is responsible for shipping and shipping charges. I will communicate with shipping company and can assist with loading.
** A NON REFUNDABLE DEPOSIT OF $500 IS DUE WITHIN 24 HOURS OF BUY IT NOW OR ACCEPTED OFFER. REMAINING BALANCE IS DUE IN FULL WITHIN 7 BUSINESS DAYS BY WIRE TRANSFER ONLY. AFTER 7 BUSINESS DAYS CAR WILL BE RELISTED UNLESS AN EXTENSION IS AGREED UPON.
** CAR & TITLE WILL NOT BE RELEASED UNTIL FULL PAYMENT CLEARS THE BANK.
** CAR IS LISTED IN "AS IS" CONDITION WITH NO WARRANTY OR GUARANTEE EXPRESSED OR IMPLIED.
** Because this car is listed on other sites, seller reserves the right to end this listing at any time.
** PLEASE! Once again, see pictures and description for details and condition. PLEASE ask questions! I will answer them to the best of my knowledge.
** I have painstakingly listed the known details and condition of this car to the best of my knowledge in hopes to prevent any misunderstandings in representing the condition of this vehicle. Please keep in mind that it is impossible to catch every detail without completely disassembling it. With that said, I'm sure some things have been missed.
**Be aware that this Charger is approaching 55 years old. It is going to need some attention before it will be road ready. It has a lot of life left in it, it's loaded with potential, and with the fender tag missing, it is a pretty solid, blank canvas! It is not perfect by any means and will need a full restoration if perfection is your goal.
Thanks for stopping by and checking it out.
