This 2006 Dodge Charger is a tube-framed NASCAR stock car which was reported to be previously part of Richard Petty’s personal collection. The car was reportedly used in Richard Petty Driver’s Experience promotions and is currently finished in #12 livery from 2006. It was purchased without an engine or transmission, though it retains a reinforced 9″ rear end, Outlaw brake calipers, AutoMeter gauges, a Safecraft fire suppression system, original dual side-outlet exhausts, and more. Now located in California, this NASCAR roller is offered with a Richard Petty autographed steering wheel and a bill of sale.
Bodywork is finished in #12 livery similar to one of several used by Ryan Newman for the 2006 season, and features Sonyas the primary sponsor. Front and rear lighting graphics are meant to resemble those of the contemporary Dodge Charger, which had recently been reintroduced for the 2006 model year.
Black-painted wheels are fitted with a set of bar-coded racing slicks, and each is equipped with dual valve stems. The plexiglass windows were sourced from Five Star Race Car Bodies, andCrow window nets are fitted over the uncovered openings.
The cockpit is currently set up for a driver only, though roll cage padding is visible on the passenger side. Retained equipment includes a padded fixed-back aluminum racing seat, Crow 5-point harnesses and a Safecraft fire suppression system.
A set of AutoMeter gauges is arranged across the dash, and one of the steering wheel pads is autographed by Richard Petty.
The car lacks an engine or transmission, leaving the tubular chassis structure and aluminum crossmember visible in the engine compartment. The fuel cell has also been removed. The braided stainless lines are present throughout and dual side-outlet exhaust sections are included.
Photos of the underside are provided to show the remaining suspension parts and reinforced 9″ rear end. The original polyurethane lifting nubs are present on both the sides of the chassis and differential.
