This is a lot of distinction for a very affordable price. After all, the vintage truck market is heating up with the mainstream Chevys and Fords, but when was the last time you saw a 1955 Dodge C1 pickup? With nice upgrades and a correct 241 V8 heart, this is the pickup that can easily steal the show for far less than others paid for their silver-metal pickups.1955 was a short season for the C1, so over 60 years later, these pickups are worth it for the rarity alone. But that's not what really attracted you. This Job-Rated Dodge has been given some weekend leisure flair. We won't even try to pretend a color like Deep Cherry Red Crystal Pearl was available from the factory in '55. You can tell by the high-gloss shine that this is the product of a nice investment in a professional application of a modern clearcoat. The shine also tells you how straight the body is on this Dodge. The owner has known the pickup and the family that lovingly restored it for decades. He saw that it has always been treated with care, and the body was excellent even before it went into restoration. It's this kind of history that helps fortify the care that went into making sure areas like the grille, bumpers, and baby moon hubcaps all have a mirror shine. This legacy is also why the details have remained correct like the side-mounted spare tire, and the fresh wood in the bed.The interior has received some nice upgrades also, while still respecting the pickup's history. The dash and steering wheel were repainted to match the great exterior color. The door panels and even the seats were custom configured to this red, too, to give it a great full uniform appearance. When you sit down, the full gauge package keeps you informed about the motor, but it retains the great period-correct appearance of a bygone era. The same goes for the heat/defrost controls. But the simplicity of this pickup hides a really cool modern touch. Beneath the seat is an AM/FM stereo with a lifetime subscription satellite radio. So the appearance is truly '50s-style, but you get to choose the atmosphere.Underneath the cool butterfly hood is another great marvel, the 241 cubic-inch V8. This optional motor gave these Dodges extra Job-Rated power. Plus, when you go beyond the glamour of the shiny air cleaner and valve covers, you are looking at what is suspected to be the original powerplant for this pickup. The careful ownership over the years means it fires up like a reliable truck should, and the cherry bomb-style exhaust on this cherry red Dodge instantly gives a reminder that this is a custom build. You get complete control of this soundtrack on the road thanks to the three-speed manual transmission. Plus, your driving experience is far superior to anything from the '50 thanks to the modern grip of BF Goodrich T/A radial tires. You have an opportunity for a rare and fully sorted classic Dodge. As much as this will give the other vintage truck guys a truly unique competitor, and at this low price, we know there's a lot of interest surrounding this one. Call now!!
