1968 Dodge Charger Additional Info:
I have for sale a 1968 Dodge Charger restoration project. This is a matching number 383 HP car with matching automatic transmission. This is a factory red (PP1) with White interior car. It's a rare and desirable combination. The interior also codes out to have red dash, carpet, and console. The original 383 engine is not locked up and turns freely. The rust in the car is extensive, but is odd in it's locations. The fenders and doors are pretty good and I would use them in the restoration. There is no rust on the firewall seam, which is usually rusty.. The aprons up front are solid other than at the battery tray. The front frame rails are good in front of the firewall. Most all sheetmetal behind the firewall will need major attention, to include the top, floorpans, trunk floor, rear rails, and quarters. This is not for the amateur restorer, but with the original drivetrain and the way this car was equipped, it is well worth the time and effort required. This car was also equipped with redline steel belted tires and a rear window defroster. The torsion bar mounts in the crossmember have given way and the front suspension is propped up to move the car. It rolls and steers easily. Again, this is a restoration project, but a very desirable and rare car when completed. Buyer is responsible for moving the car to it's new location. I expect payment within seven days of auction's end. The title is clean and transferable. There is no warranty and the car is sold as is where is. Thanks for looking.
