1970 Dodge Coronet 440 Additional Info:
1970 Dodge Coronet 440 Model 2 door hardtop. 111K miles on the odometer.
This is an all original car including paint interior etc. Runs and drives good. Lifelong Western Nebraska car. Was One owner Prior to me. I am a collector with a resale certificate through my state.
The cars body overall I'd consider to be a solid original. You will find lower body panel rust. See Pictures. There is ample road rash down low too from gravel road driving. The under body appears to be 95 percent solid. The trunk is good, the center section of the floor is somewhat scally. I'm sure once you start sanding it it will become thin. See Pictures. On the passenger rear quarter panel the old fellow pounded some dents out from the inside, the rear bumper is torn at the end. Expect dings scuffs scratches and oxidized paint. Passenger side front grill is cracked. She is an original car!
The interior of the car is above average. The dash is outstanding with very good door panels and head liner. The rear package tray is nice. Seats are worn and will need legendary interior original replacement covers as well as carpet. All is there just old. There is no rhodent odor. All the windows roll down and glass is all good with exception of about a small 6 inch lower windshield crack. Wood grained sport steering wheel has 2 cracks. Very cool!
Miles read 111K. I believe to be actual. Gas gauge doesn't work. All dash lights turn signals work good. Radio don't work. He had a CB radio in it years ago, Maybe radio just needs fuse or antennae hooked up? Speedometer works good with no noise. Dash is very nice.
The engine is a 318 believed to be original. Supposedly was rebuild a long time ago. Transmission is a torque flight automatic. The engine sounds great and the transmission shifts properly. This car runs and drives well. There is nothing like an original suspension B Body in my opinion. Radial tires are good but old. All the wheel covers are there. I installed a rebuild master cylinder.
I have the original build sheet and the original fender tag is present. I have the original purchase agreement too dated September 1969. He ordered this car. Some neat options are..Air conditioning, wood grained steering wheel, cruise control, and Rallye Suspension. Rear speaker.
I live in the real world. I'm sure this car is going to be cloned into a Super Bee. This is a great canvass to start with. Everything is there and is a wealth of information as to how these cars actually were assembled. Great refernce for any restoration guide.
I am selling this car to high bidder. This auction will run 7 days or so. If you have any questions just ask. Negative or 0 feedback members must contact me prior to bidding or I will eliminate your bid. These auctions cost money. I am in Omaha Nebraska about 1 mile off I 80. There is no COD with the sale of this car. If your high bidder you own it. I require a deposit and final payment ASAP. See buyers instructions.
My garage is full right now. I have no time to give this car what it deserves. I've been trying to buy it for over a year and was recently contacted by the sellers daughter and I followed through with my commitment to buy.
