1976 Dodge B300 Van Additional Info:
Here is a Dodge B 300 Sportsman Royale Maxiwagon Camper van. The odometer shows 27,195 miles. I have no way of knowing if that is the actual mileage however it could possibly be due to the condition of the van. The van has a strong 360 motor with an automatic 727 transmission. I just had the spark plugs, wires, cap and rotor replaced. I also had the transmission fluid replaced. The van is not shifting into 2nd gear at the moment. My mechanic believes that since the van has not been driven regularly that it may be a little gunked up in the gears and will most likely work it self out if the van is driven more and a little (Seafoam) would probably help. The linkage may need to be adjusted as well as when put the van in drive it is a little past the D. The van was Ziebarted when new which has preserved the body quite well. There is a dent on the driver's side front fender and the passenger rear as shown in the pictures. All of the doors are lined up nicely and open and close nicely. I purchased the van 8 years ago from a gentleman who actually purchased the van in California from the original owner. The gentleman that I purchased the van from had driven it back from California to Michigan and his wife was so impressed that she immediately divorced him. The original owner was from New Baltimore Michigan hence the mural of the marsh with ducks on the passenger side of the van. He then was retiring to California hence the palm trees mural on the driver's side of the van. He did say that the custom paint job cost him $5,000 in 1976. The heat works however the A/C compressor was removed at some point. The windshield wipers are new and do work. The speedometer works and for some reason the gas gauge is not working? I had the gas tank dropped last month and flushed out. The sending unit in the tank was replaced along with a new fuel filter. The tires hold air however will to be need to be replaced. The van rides a little rigid down the road and I believe a new set of tires may help the ride. I have a new 4th matching wagon wheel in which I will include with the van. The camping interior was removed prior to me purchasing the van. That is the original green carpet in the van which has some rips and shreds on the sides most likely from when the cabinets were removed. There is a tow package (hitch) on the van in which I have never used but appears to be intact and solid. Overall it is an extremely cool original survivor van that will need some tweaking and going through to get ready for your first trip and is definitely worth doing so. I tried listing Everything I know about the van. Feel free to call me with any questions or concerns. I am willing to assist with pick up hear near Port Huron, Michigan. The payment terms will be either cashier's check, certified funds or cash. The van will be released once the funds are proven good. Thank you for looking, Gene (586) 350-7310
