1969 Dodge Charger Additional Info:
This is my daily driver R/T Charger. Its a 440/4 barrel motor with a 727 automatic. It has power steering, power disc brakes, power windows, A/C, and SE options. Its a factory black on black car. Its missing its fendertag and broadcast sheet. There is a lot of original paint showing on the car verifying what it is. The engine is a date correct 440 from a low performance car but has all thehi-po goodies bolted to it. The trans was rebuilt years ago and just sat in the driveway. I believe that was around 2000. It shifts very well. The car drives very well. It has front and rear sway bars and I put new poly bushings in the front bar so it handles very well. The A/C system is incomplete and Idon't know what the condition is of the heater box components. I have tried to list all the problems it has as well as its good qualities. There may be a few details I have missed, I will add them if I think of anything. I welcome you or a representative to come inspect it. Please ask any questions you may have and I will answer them promptly.
Here is what I’ve done to the car:
All new bushings, ball joints, tie rod ends, strut rod bushings, and idler arm in the front suspension.
Used good condition K frameNew shocks all aroundNew tires
New power brake booster
New CPP single piston disc brakes. (I kept the 4 piston brakes and they will come with it.)
New calipers, rotors, bearings, hoses, brake pads, and seals.
New leaf spring hangers in the rear to lower it 1.5 inches.
New headers and gaskets (I have the original exhaust manifolds)
New battery
New tiresNew Champion Aluminum radiator with custom aluminum fan shroud andSpal fans (2) and variable speed thermostatic controller.
What it needs
A full restoration to be show worthy
There is rust in the following places:
Lower quarters
Trunk floor (minor)
Trunk floor extensions
Rear valance corners
Roof (one spot)
Rear window channel
Leading edge of hoodOne spot on the drivers floor pan.It needs the right front frame rail straightened. It is bent at one of the K frameattachment points from hitting a curb with the right front wheel.
This car spent 35 years in a driveway in Huntington beach with no cover so it has rust on the outside mostly. The floors and frame rails are what you would expect from a west coast car. This thing is by no means rusty.
Its my daily driver. Its very reliable and i just drove it 200 miles to go look at my dream car which is the only reason why i would even consider selling this car. I spent 30 years chasing this car.
