1985 Dodge Omni Additional Info:
Fifteen year GLH Turbo labor of love, unfortunately age and space requirements mean it’s time to go, hoping there are still L body enthusiasts out there this can go to.
I know, I know, ran when parked lol. Hasn’t run in about four years, last non-start I noticed I couldn’t hear the Walbro 255 prime. Tried to swap out the power module, but no luck, so here it sits. Ran strong when I did occasionally take it out over the years. 14lbs boost with (IIRC) the Forward Motion module in the footwell. Surprised many unwary. Stopped even better with the “SLH” mod of minivan brakes up front and proper MC I did many years ago. Can’t quite remember all the details, but will do my best to list below.
I fully replaced the ugly baby-poop yellow interior with a very nice red set from a Horizon. New carpet with nice mats. A mouse or two had gotten into it over the years, but doesn’t stink too bad. Headliner was done too, but missing center stay, so slight droop in backing board. Really nice audio set up with Blaupunkt speakers and Kicker sub. Car is in overall good condition rust-wise, although I did try my hand at welding in floor repair patches. Effective, but won’t win any welding awards. I have more man-hours in this car than most of my others. Big plans, but you know how that goes.
Lol, no, it didn’t catch on fire inside, the black you see around the doors, hatch, etc was from when I thoroughly cleaned and painted the jams in prep for a full black respray. Comes with all new vinyl graphics along with spare full ground effects. All door hardware including window regulators were gone through and work. Car was always garaged or under cover during my 15 years. Tires hold air for a few months and car rolls easily. Can also be moved short distances with starter and charged battery.
Timing belt replaced about 10 years/300 miles ago. Non-interference engine, but at least you know it was done.
Newer radiator
MSD coil
Newer starter with heat wrap - if you ever experienced the horror of having to replace one of these, you’ll appreciate it lol
Dingy but decent CS seats/door cards/center console
Nice powder coated T2 intake
Three extra wheels, assume they need refinishing
Great Lakes Hot Rod heim joint shifter mod unopened
Battery relocated with kit to rear hatch
Shock tower brace still in wrapping, should work with T2 conversion
Newer intercooler for T2 conversion I never got around to :(
Sorry, no time for parting out or selling extra parts. Feel free to ask any questions, happy to answer what I can remember. Pains me to list this, but has to go...
Edit: Title is fully clear, MD MVA “brands” the title EML, Exceeds Mechanical Limits, as it’s only a five digit odometer. No issues with titling.
