1973 Dodge Challenger. Has been restored as per pics completely disassembled no bolt left un-turned. Car is painted top and bottom in Prowler purple with white interior.Restoration was completed approx. 3k miles ago and odometer was reset at that time.Originally a 318 auto car – now has a 383 magnum with manual pistol grip shifted four speed transmission.
Engine rebuilt to stock specs.Carburetor is a 650 Edelbrock and intake is stock Mopar. Trans was rebuilt including new front bearing retainer but 2ndgear is a little balky. Clutch is Centerforce, rear end was rebuilt and has a 742 center section with 3.55 gears and clutch style sure grip.Car has 2 inch welded in frame connectors and boxed lower control arms.K frame, rear end and upper control arms have all been powder coated.
Car has many options that have been added including dual sport mirrors, rallye scallops, and stripes, flip top fuel filler, rallye dash, and 3 speed wipers.Body mods include bumpers moved in to 1972 style and all bumper guards have been removed and the holes in the valance were welded up and the license plate bracket on rear valance removed so license light lined up.Many of the smaller brackets and bolts as well as hood latch were professionally coated in black phosphate.
Gauge restoration by Performance Car Graphics with white gauge faces and carbon fiber trim around them and on the door panel trim plates.Steering column and heater box restoration by SMS, TTI Exhaust with hand built heavy stainless tips, polished bell housing, stainless trim polished, rechromed bumpers by Tri City plating. New wheel well moldings and trunk moldings as well as marker lights and front turn signal lenses and side Challenger emblems. Also has polished stainless gas tank straps and new aluminum radiator.
Car has a Denso alternator with internal regulator and a mini starter for electrical reliability as well as bulkhead connector being bypassed to amp gauge.Charges great and headlights do not dim at idle like many older Mopars.
New headliner seat covers, door panels and dash pad. New torsion bars, rear springs, etc.Has all Air conditioning switches and heater box on the inside, but will need everything for the AC on the engine side.
4 wheel disc brakes with Mopar 11.75 inch rotors on front with TSM rear wheel disc brakes - all stainless brake and fuel lines and DOT 5 fluid that won’t take your paint off.Master cylinder is a Mopar aluminum unit that has been hand polished. I will also give you the Wolf car cover that I have for it.
Now for some minor issues: Body has some minor flaws and a few minor scratches (but I am pretty picky).Rear valance has a couple of chips where rear spings and exhaust hit when I first redid the car and did not torque rear U-boltsRadio quit working, but you can buy a new one on ebay for $100.Needs new armrests in the door panels ($130) as the ones in it don’t match well.Runs hot in traffic or sitting for extended periods but can drive all day on highway or country roads (probably a fan or fan clutch issue – haven’t changed them out). This is my personal car and I am not some dealer so I know all the tiny issues and am not going to BS you about them.
