1968 Dodge Charger -- Additional Info:

This is the car that started a revolution. The 1968 Dodge Charger was the first year of the now legendary second-generation of these muscle cars. But you'll not only love the history on this one, but it also has been restored and upgraded to deliver plenty of performance with the upgraded V8 and four-wheel disc brakes. The Coke bottle styling, the hidden headlights, the pillarless hardtop body, and those flying buttresses surrounding the rear window: this coupe... was designed to make an impact. Because this was the debut of the new style, it was sales success for Dodge. And yet, they still were far less made than Ford or Chevy. That's what keeps these cars in demand. So it's always a treat to find a rarer Mopar with great sheetmetal, because it makes for a terrific canvas to show off the red. It's the factory-correct color, but there's a seriously slick look thanks to a more modern and professional application. The clearcoat shine accents the little details like the scalloped hood with matching marks in the doors, and the spoiler that's built in the rear deck. Plus, the black bumblebee stripes in the rear coordinates with the premium black vinyl roof. They both go with the blacked-out front and rear to deliver a great total package. Plus, not only do the polished Budnik wheels look nice against the chrome bumpers, but also these modern alloys hint at more upgrades within. The black accents on the outside get you ready for the all-black interior. Plush bucket seats, thick carpeting, and a center console deliver a terrific blend of luxury and performance. There are plenty of vintage pieces you'll love, like the three-spoke sports steering wheel, bright gearstick, desirable tic-toc-tach. Plus, it remains great for modern driving with some great upgrades like the auxiliary gauge trio, and AM/FM/CD stereo w/aux input for your iPod. Under the hood is a clean and mean 383 cubic-inch V8. All the components have a tidy look of investment, and the Mopar ribbed valve covers deliver extra flair. Plus, the mighty motor has all the right go-fast goodies. This includes Edelbrock aluminum heads, Quick Fuel four-barrel carburetor, an aluminum intake, and long tube headers feeding the H-pipe dual exhaust. You have the right supporting components, too, like large aluminum radiator and electric fan to help keep this one running cool. In fact, this is built with all-around driving appeal in mind. The TorqueFlite A727 three-speed automatic transmission is stout enough to handle all the power and smooth enough for easy cruising. There's also power steering, grippy modern sport tires, and drilled & slotted four-wheel disc brakes. This is the first-year Charger that will impress you with the way it drives and impress everyone with the way it looks. That makes for an outstanding Mopar you need to get your hands on. Call now!
