1970 Dodge Challenger Special Edition Additional Info:
This car had been in storage for 23 years before I restored it over the last 3 years.
It looks great with a new "Top Banana" paint job in base coat-clear coat PPG paint. The car was media blasted before painting so any rust could be repaired.
The car has 63,487 original miles on it. It started out as a 383 A/T but now has a 440 six pac 390HP engine that has been completely rebuilt to stock specs with a new six pac intake, carbs and air cleaner with less than 100 miles on the drive train.
New 2 1/4" dual exhaust with Magna flo mufflers and stock exhaust tips were installed.
The 727 A/T has been rebuilt with a mild shift kit installed.
The 3:55 rear end has been rebuilt and runs smooth and quiet and new u-joints were installed in the drive shaft.
The car has been upgraded to power disc brakes on the front and the rear drum brakes have been rebuilt with new hardware, brake pads and wheel cylinders.
A new gas tank was installed along with new fuel lines and a new sending unit.
The seats have been reupholstered in black leather to match to original seats. New carpets and headliner were installed.
New stripes and emblems were installed. The R/T emblems were added but the car is not an R/T car.
A new black vinyl top was installed after the car was painted.
This car was originally a A/C car but the A/C has not been replaced and is not working.
There are so many parts that have been replaced or repaired that I can't list them all but a file with all parts purchased will come with the care.
The car did not come with a fender tag or build sheet in it when I bought it.
The car is great looking and turns heads wherever it goes.
