This 1964 Dodge Polara 500 is a rarely-seen Mopar with unique styling and big block power under the hood. And as you dig deeper, you'll also find that this distinct classic has some pretty cool extras. 1964 is a single-year style that is arguably the best of the generation. The Turbine Car front end styling was toned down from the previous year to give this a sophisticated and sporty look that it never had before. The wide waterfall... grille is the perfect partner to the even wider wraparound bumpers. The full-length trim is equal parts artful and jet-age. Plus, the hint of white within it coordinates so nicely with the white roof. So the total package is black, white, and plenty of flair - just like a tuxedo for the road. But that big hood scoop and upgraded Cragar SS wheels (with extra wide rear tires) are all part of a package that tells you there is a brute in this suit. The inside gets black seats with white piping, more white in the headliner, and plenty of brightwork flair throughout. So it has the same great color theme as the exterior. This is a fantastically preserved presentation, and so classic car lovers will want to come along in this pillarless hardtop. Of course, with bucket seats and a center console, you'll always know this premium Polara 500 is a driver's machine at its heart. You'll slip behind the original wheel, and enjoy the full array of original controls in the bright and impossibly long dash. And as you check this all out, you'll even see some nice pieces like provisions for factory air conditioning. Plus, there are a few key upgrades like the well-concealed AM/FM/CD stereo and the large tach centrally mounted on the dash. The 361 cubic-inch V8 is a true old-school Mopar big block. It was one of the great reasons to upgrade to the premium Polara 500 back in the day, and so it's great to have such an honest-looking one in the engine bay. Also part of the package was a four-barrel carburetor to let the big block inhale deeply, and a dual exhaust to have it exhale with authority. There are also some nice investments in the motor like a new alternator, new wiring, and a separate trans cooler for the A727 Torqueflite three-speed automatic. It's this kind of investment that creates a classic that run so well today. And no matter if you're looking to enjoy the power on some lonely asphalt, or just enjoying cruising the boulevard, features like power steering, power brakes, and a Dana 60 Sure-Grip rear end are always welcomed. Complete with owner's manual and service manuals, this is a high-style, low-numbers classic hardtop. So you know it's an in-demand package that will be going fast. Don't miss out, call today!
