1970 Dodge Charger 426 Hemi Additional Info:
With its aggressive full midnight appearance and big V8 power to back it up, this exceptionally restored 1970 Dodge Charger 426 Hemi is the ultimate expression of a muscle Mopar. Let's start with the paint you can't take your eyes off of. Black is arguably the best-looking color on these Chargers - especially since it was made sure that the body panels were laser straight so they could accept a professional application of a modern mirror black. Now it has enough clearcoat to make the deep dark appearance look like its protected by a candy shell. The full midnight package is given a cool hint of color with the bold red bumblebee stripe on the rear. And this goes so nicely with the R/T badging and redline tires to give it a nicely coordinated aggressive touch. Plus, the simulated vents on the doors and hood add to the overall intimidation factor. Of course, what really makes this Charger such a great outlaw is the front end with hidden headlights and big chrome surround. So this coupe looks like it wants to consume all the lesser cars in its way. Inside there have been the right investments to keep this fresh, premium, and quite comfortable. It starts with high-back bucket seats with a center console in-between. You might notice that these feel exceptionally fresh. That's because the seats, carpeting, door panels, and headliner are all part of a new package from Legendary Auto Interiors. This Charger keeps a premium attitude with wood paneling on the steering wheel, dash, and console. The driver gets a three-spoke steering wheel and just beyond that is a full set of gauges. And as you look over this full setup, you're going to spot all the iconic elements Mopar people love - from the tic-toc-tach to the pistol-grip shifter. Under the hood is a Mopar legend: the 426 Hemi motor. But the performance story goes much deeper. It's a crate motor installed in 2012. Not only is this V8 fresher than most classics (and the tidy engine bay reinforces this,) but also it's more powerful thanks to dual Edelbrock four-barrel carburetors on top. In fact, the motor produces a street-eating 425 horsepower. You can show everyone the dyno sheet as proof, but really, the rumble of the dual exhaust will let everyone know it's a big power machine. And to make sure you have complete control, this has the legendarily stout A-833 four-speed manual transmission. This connects to a new heavy duty driveshaft on its way to the limited slip rear end. And because sometimes all you want to do is cruise, this Hemi Charger also has good driving features like power steering and front disc brakes, too. There's a huge stack of build receipts that come with the sale, but you can already see the total quality from every angle (including the undercarriage photos.) This is the iconic muscle car restored to the best standards of power and poise. So don't miss your chance. Call today!!!
