1946 Dodge Panel Additional Info:
1946 Dodge Panel Truck - Drivetrain, Brakes, Shocks all redone
Rebuilt 230 Flathead by Jasper, have documentation
Runs and drives fine with no funny noises or quirks. I have driven it to town twice (round trip 25 miles)
Needs to be rewired, the only gauge that works is the Oil Pressure. Runs off the battery, generator not charging.
Clutch and tranny work fine, transmission is syncro on 2nd and 3rd gears
NEW COMPLETE BRAKE JOB (Master cylinder, all 4 wheel cylinders, all 8 brake shoes, new Rubber hoses, new steel lines where needed)4 New Shocks
If you are really interested, look carefully at the pictures and educate yourself. The floor and roof were wood, I removed all the bad wood. There is some rust repair needed on the body. Both sides above the running boards, the rear wheel arches, some perforation along the "beltline" and the extreme corners inside the rear doors. Everything else that is "missing' is/was wood, so it will be an easy repairThe other good: Windshield still cranks out fine, driver's side glass is cracked Both door windows roll up and down fine, driver's window has a crack, all doors latch Has cowl lamps, 8 stainless grille bars (one is detached), original front and rear bumpers, heater (removed), original front seat (only one for the driver), in nice condition, even the black vinyl upholstery The gas tank was removed to do the brake lines, but appears to be useable, not all rusted or full of holes, currently running off a jug with an electric fuel pump I drove this truck to town, 25 miles round trip, twice before I started to disassemble it. Have original taillightI'm going to start working on the body, but decided to run it through ebay once, to see if someone really knows the potential here and wants it.
