This is one rare classic Dodge! It is a 1 of 1 Cabelas concept ramcharger 4x4 that was developed with a team up of Cabelas, their employee, and dodge as a special outdoor edition. This ram charger featured among other things, a lockable firearm/valuables storage drawer, brush guard, fishing rod holders on the inside of the cab, originally a roof rack (which is missing now), a rear mounted spare (has since been moved inside the rer tailgate by previous owner) and rear halogen lights for such tasks as launching boats at night etc (the two black lights inside the rear tailgate area) Cabela's and Cabela's employees tested it on hunting, fishing, and other excursions through out the mid west. I have articles about it and lots of documentation that go with it. Really rare and a true 1 of 1. Really cool!
I bought this as it has been in the local area for as long as I remember (we have a huge Cablea's here) and finally tracked it down to buy it. the previous owner bought it originally from the employee auction they had with it for promotion.This ram charger runs and drives awesome, it is a blast to use and handles well down the road. the 4x4 works great and lockouts turn with ease. radio plays great. the electric power windows and locks are working great. the cruise is even still working. The lights all work like they should. The tires are very good and the wheels are original and look good. All of the gauges are working like they should.
This Dodge ram charger is so rare with potentialthat if restored right to be a higher dollar value, I decided to leave it just the way I got it for the next owner to take it to whatever level they want. As the pics and video show, the body on this has its blemishes and rust. You can definitely use it the way it is but the rust issues show. I was leaning towardsdoing patch panels on the lower rockers, cab corners and rear lower corners. The floors look solid and the frame is solid. The dents and dings that are there can be address/pulled out etc but to me it added character for what I used it for. Definitely restoreableand not terriblydifficult if you wanted to take it to that next level. the windshield has a crack in the top right corner. The interior looks really good for being a survivor. best to look at the pics and video. I saw the head liner sagging some but other than that nothing to crazy in my mind. Really wanted to leave it as original as I got it as you wont find another one and if you restore it to a high level, you will have a higher dollar rare unit that is only going up and up in value.
